i recently found this forum so i thought i should introduce myself as i hope to be using a fair bit of advice from it on the future.
i have a 1986 gold GL high roof sigma wagon that my dad bought for me as my first car, cost him $800 and i reckon he did fairly well. its just ticked over to 172,000km, interior is pretty much perfect, has the original factory fitted clarion cd player/ radio as well as a 2.6 litre astron II motor with the 3 speed auto. exterior isn't that flash though, couple of large dents/ scratches down each side after the elderly owner hit his fence reversing out of his driveway.
at first i thought it it was an absolutely pile of junk but slowly have come to love it so much i am considering restoring it back to its original glory. new paint, engine rebuild and i reckon i'd keep it forever.
this sites been a great read and i hope it continues to be a place of learning for me.
oh and if anyone from adelaide has a particular fondness for helping out fix up sigmas i'd love to hear from you!
cheers guys,
corey
