Re: Sydney meet
Sorry guys, i'm out for the 30th. Last yacht race of the season that day for me. Depending on where the start point is I may drop in and say hi.
Here are a couple of idea's that work and keep everyone together on cruises we have attended with numbers of upto 50 cars.
Hand held cb radios for car to car coms. Available from just about any electronics shop
Cruise route sheets with start, end and mid point meeting points marked on the route. Plus any other suitable details required.
Feel free to add any further thought for future reference.

Re: Sydney meet
hey guys, i'm keen on wherever is agreed on.
just a thought, i'm in sydneys east and that time of year, Clovelly beach is dead.
it's a public carpark overlooking the water with close to 100 spots and is close to main arteries
great for a park up
only people we'd have to worry about are your couple of backpackers camping out there ----- just a thought............................

Re: Sydney meet
Im hoping I get the ge running and rego before then run would like to take it for a good run
Re: Sydney meet
Just looking at it, everyone is based far and wide across Sydney and beyond. My thoughts are if we aren't going to do a cruise from one place to another is that we meet somewhere that is central for everyone.
Other forums/club we have been involved with have used Torque Bar & Grill as a central meeting point. (See link below, It shares its car park with Fraser's Motorcycles) Everyone can have there own mini cruise's to get there from all over Sydney.

Food is good and there is plenty of parking to look at everyone's cars and gas bag about them at the same time.
Thoughts, suggestions, date, time??????? Lets see if we can get something together this time.

Re: Sydney meet
I'm away that weekend, as previously stated. Thats easter.
Maybe pick a weekend early in May, once easter, school holidays, anzac day, etc.... are out of the way.

I should be in for most dates at this stage.
Lots of good ideas, maybe we should bank them and do a cruise every 2nd month or something like that.
It's unlikely to be perfect for everybody so we can do a few different things and changeup the meeting points.
Cruises to Harry's at Liverpool are good as there is often other cars cruising there on any given night. (Even on other weekends than the end of the month saturday night meets)
That torque bar and grill looks good.
Penrith is not too bad, it's been dead for years so cop trouble should be minimal. I live in Penrith so that is always a bonus meeting there!

Re: Sydney meet
How bout Saturday the 12th of April meet at kurnell at 7?
Re: Sydney meet
There has been a lot of discussion on this idea to meet. I think the Kurnell gig on the 12th April sounds fine. It
would be great to see lots of Mitsubishis in the one place.

Re: Sydney meet
12th April works well with me.
Car might be dirty as I'll be going out to Sunny Corner for the Sydney to London Marathon rally in the morning but it should be good.
Merv,
I think you've done a good job trying to organize this. It's not easy trying to organize something like this and try and fit it in to nearly everyone's sechedule so good work.
