I would imagine there would still be the usual differences though - astron 1 & 2, and the usual wide / narrow block

- So as always, proceed with caution.

4G54, G54B, G54BT are basically the same engine. There are a few minor differences ie: piston oil squirters, oil pump, etc..., but all the major parts are interchangeable, ie cranks, pistons, rockers and rods.

That doesn't mean that buying ANY 2.6L Astron part will necessarily suit your build.

There are high and low compression pistons.
Large and small chamber cylinder heads.
Large/medium/small ports and valves.
Some standard rods are a lot lighter than others.
Steel or aluminium slipper rockers.
Hydraulic rockers with either slipper or roller followers.
Wide and Narrow gearbox bolt pattern.
Wide and Narrow timing covers and sumps.
Standard and high capacity oil pumps along with a totally different style of oil pump they used for the Astrons used in forklift and some trucks.

What you are planning to build will determine what parts are appropriate.

The beauty of the Astron engines is the fact that you have a good range of build possibilities, even with standard parts.

Just do the research before you buy ( like what you're doing now :D ).

Cheers.
