the mighty triton!

Post by fonz »

hey guys,

i know its not a sigma or galant but close lol!

i have been piecing the rfi conversion together for a while now, and after countless trips to my fabricator it is finally done!

i attacked it last weekend all by myself and quite proud of it haha im quite the backyard mechanic.

basically what i have done is got a tr manifold, match ported the rear water port to suit the head, moved the thermostat and added a heater hose port.

the tb was already relocated when i bought the "kit" off a guy.
magna dizzy, coil pack, amf, 02 sensor and ecu came with it aswell.
all i had to buy seperated was a vl fuel pump.

all i can say for people who are considering it umming and arring if its hard or not GO FOR IT! as long as you get it fabbed properly its a piece of cake!

fuel ecconomy is AWESOME! and there is so much low end torge, it breaks traction in 2nd at about 4000rpm and is loose in the wet

only running the stock magna ecu atm but looking into turbocharging it.
anyone reccomend cheap ecu's?

heres a couple pics of it hope u like.

Nice mate, looks fairly neat.

Looks like that would be a lot easier to work on with the vehicle running double wishbone front lol.

Anything else done to the donk? :P
