Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.
I know that there is an article in here somewhere where a guy puts an aluminium radiator in his Sigma.
Not exactly a bolt in fit, but the inlet and outlet are in the right place.
From memory I think it was a Silvia or some other Nissan. Anyone clued up on this conversion ?

Re: Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.
If theyre anything like a lancer 99% of popular cars today are too big, skyline, silvia, rx7 etc etc. Looked into it pretty extensively for my LC and even maximum dimensions, rail to rail, top of panhard housing to touching bonnet still wasnt big enough. I eventually happened on a friend that had a 120Y 3 core copper radiator which was a bolt in fit minus 5 minutes and a file to elongate the top mounting holes slightly. They probably make an aftermarket aluminium radiator for a 120 if it might be an option. (although imo copper>aluminium)

I've got a sneaky suspicion someone dropped in an S13 Silvia radiator and it was a relatively "simple custom" job

fairly certain it was an s14 radiator.
VS commo ones fit in quite well but the in/outlets pipes are in the wrong spot for a 4g

Yep ..that the link I was talking about. So S14/15 is the closest match.
Re: Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.
If you search eBay for a 3 core aluminium radiator to suit a Datsun 510 1968-73/620 Pickup L16 1972-73, it will definately fit. Only are und the $150 mark. I put one in my GB galant running a 4G54. It was a bit tight, but still fit no worries

Re: Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.
wow heaps to choose from. I did not realise that there was such a big market for old dattos parts.
Looks like some of the radiators have an angled outlet on the bottom tank, and some are straight.

Re: Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.
That one has a more generous mounting bracket which should make it easier to re-drill to suit the Sigma.
