I'll tell you why.DanTurboLancer wrote:But if you want to fill the gaurds why go skinny?
The guards on Lancer Hatches are huge and look stupid with little wheels.
By fitting a large rim I can fill them up, and then fitting a smallish tyre to them allows me to not have to bend quite so much body work to stop them from rubbing (I'm thinking front tyres here).
I also want to be able to rotate the rims front to rear so I can maximise the mileage I get from the tyres.
With the GH Sigma front strut and the lowered springs it runs quite a fair bit of camber, and will probably wear the insides of the tyres quite early. Depends how I drive it I supppose?
Another reason:
My wagon handles soooo much better running a widened track, I wanted to do the same for the hatch.
Some of the local members from up this way have witnessed how well the wagon handles, and for a car with everything original (even the suspension rubbers) with just a set of Monroe gas shocks...
It does lean quite a bit, but I just drive around it.
Another reason:
Because it's going to look f___ing awesome
