Hey guys, i should be getting a new head at the end of the week.
My brother in law will be helping me fit it, (more to the point, ill be helping him!!)
He has said ill need to get the head torque sequence and how much to torque them.
If anyone here know this info, or where i can find it, that would be awesome!!
Thanks again guys.
Cheers, Matt.

If it doesn't, or just to be safe hit 84GKSIG with a PM, he has just about every Sigma owners manual, he will be able to give you the settings.

Re: Head torque settings
astron 1 manual says: cylinder head bolts 89-98 nm, cylinder head to timing cover bolts 15-21 nm
astron 2 manual says: cylinder head bolts 110 nm, cylinder head to timing cover bolts 12 nm
cylinder head bolt tightening sequence
8 6 1 3 9
10 4 2 5 7
(if that makes sense)

Re: Head torque settings
By cylinder to timing head bolts they are the ones that are the closest to the fan side of the engine and need to be tightened to a lower torque then the actual head bolts. Make sure that you untighten them in this sequence:
1 4 6 11 9 3
1 2 8 10 7 5
The number one is the timing chain cover bolts. Also only break the bolts and then go back through and undo them. Then re tighten them in reverse of that sequence from the centre out. do it in 3 stages of torque i use 50,80 and then 108-113 Nm This is one of the most important fastenings in the engine so take your time and make sure you have used the correct torque. Also make sure you have a torque wrench with a high enough torque range. if your going to buy one get a large one around 200Nm as if you ever do a clutch replacement your going to need a lot of torque to tighten the flywheel.
