Hey Guys, couple of quick questions;
1) I'm looking at replacing the air filter on my GH Factory Turbo with a K & N set up. Any recommendations on the best system to use and how much better does everything run with this improvement?
2) At the moment my crankcase breather feeds back into the original air cleaner set up. If you install an after market system, does this need to be re-routed somewhere else or can you just put a filter on it and have it vent into the engine bay?
Thanks in advance for your help...

Re: Crankcase breather on Factory GH Turbo
Hey Leigh,
Thanks a heap mate... that's what I was expecting, and K & N make those as well.
As far as you are aware, are there any problems with the air intake being inside the engine bay with an after market option, as opposed to being sucked from outside with the factory system?
Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim
I had a K & N filter on my other turbo. I made a stainless crankcase breather which went to the K & N filter. You will hear the turbo more with the filter but you might need to clean the filter out more often.

Hey Steve, thanks for the info mate. Did you attach the K &'N unit straight to to where the air filter hose connected or did you extend it out further?
BTW, I'm flying over Thursday night and will be in Perth on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Really keen to check out your car. I'll send my number across.
Cheers,
Tim

Hey Steven,
Yep that sounds like a good way to do it. I'll get working on it next week.
Thanks,
Tim
