Registering the GSR sometime this week,

over the next few weeks;

- convert engines, get rid of this one that leaks nothing but oil and coolant. [DONE]
- convert gearboxes.. got one that is newly rebuilt.
- fix the rear brake setup, and actually get the rears working.
- convert the rest of this interior over... [DONE]
- fix the wiring [DONE] for now!
- get my new treds on

then on the horizon;

- fix suspension
- get the charger [DONE]
- cut holes in the bonnet.. scoops either side for symmetry...
- get the charger working on the red GK GSR.

then to start looking at;

- fixing rust
- pull out dings
- paint :thumpsup: :thumpsup:

later down the line;

- look at getting some jap spec rims
- rebuild an engine to get some HP from this charger

:thumpsup: :thumpsup:

I got quite a few pictures of what ive been doing, was going to make a proper build thread but can't be bothered haha.

Today i fixed everything that wasn't working correctly in the interior, such as door locks, door mechanisms... changed door panels, cleaned about 10 bits of rubbish out of the drivers door...

Hoping to convert engines tmoz, and register the car :thumpsup:

some pictures of the updates...

Current state of the GSR;
Image

car is now running again with the rebuilt engine in out of the brown car, still gotta convert the carby, (until the charger goes on :P ) also going to book the car in to get all the wiring 100%!

fixed most interior problems, interior looks immaculate... everything that was broken is now fixed, still gotta put in the dash cluster though.

Old engine featuring the old galant engine, one of which ill have rebuilt over this year to suit the SC14; (engine out of the sigma pictured on the right)
Image
Image
leaky piece of shit, leaking coolant and oil.. and lots of it... as seen in pic above very very leaky haha.

alternator was holding on by 1 bolt, same with the starter.
engine mount was broken..

drive line also had some faults... such as 2 bolts in the tail shaft...

engine leaked so much oil into the gearbox

Engine in;
Image

as you can see wiring is a bit of a mess, engine runs well... im impressed!

Whats becoming of the part car haha;

Image

Dash repair;
Image
came up with some designs for these, stay tuned... going to make some clusters on my computer and possibly put them in as i have a scanner now haha.
going to go with a red/white/black theme :)

Exhaust;
Image
going to fit this bad boy when the shops opens, thanks to my brother for the sale of $20. :thumpsup:
also gotta weld up a split in these extractors... for now (thinking of buying the black set off ebay)
also gunna get the door welded up when im there... door has dropped on the pillar... easy fix :thumpsup:

Wiring;
Image
here is the wiring job i done yesterday... sort of better... well got the car running atleast... :lol: going to use the other loom off the brown one... going to book this in also to have the wiring completely cleaned up... also going to install these bad boys.
Image

Interior;
Fixed all the door locks etc... put in better door panels, also going to convert seats... to the ones talked about on page 1 or 2 of this topic... don't like the velor seats... get way to dirty.

Sigma key ring;
Image

will be updating this a fair bit as of now hopefully... :thumpsup:

Interior will be done tmoz so ill take some pics of that, also fixed up the Dash cluster, all the instruments shall work i hope :|

decided to get rid of the custom tacho idea as it won't illuminate properly. Still had a decent idea done, i scanned one instrument panel, made my own design... looks good, but won't illuminate.. unless i use transparency paper which i don't have the printer to print with haha.

Engine bay is looking the goods!
I like the Red paint on the Rocker cover!

Is that the blower set up Mick did?
It looks shit hot!

Do you have, or are you going to make a support bracket from the block to the bottom of the manifold?

Really am interested to see how the blown motor goes :thumpsup:

Yeah id trim those pipe bits for the Cold start piping to Air cleaner box off the engine pipes.
then either option would be cool
BBQ paint will look neat and clean.
Heat wrap looks tough...
Depend what you are going for.

looking good but

yup its the blower mick done :thumpsup:

and yeah was thinking about that today aswell, seems pretty heavy, ill see how it goes. (A)

yeah the piping looks shabby and un-needed.

was thinking i might just buy a decent set?? there only 200 bux on ebay haha, i rekon a black gloss would look good :thumpsup:

Just bought the following from;
http://www.growly.com.au

2x GK Scorpion rear disc rotors
2x GK Sigma front disc rotors

Next on the agenda;
- put the 34/36 back on
- put new brakes on it :)
- wiring :@ :@ :@ :@ :ban: :ban: :banh: :banh: :facepalm:
- fix the weld on the extractors

ill look at putting the charger on later as id rather get some other stuff done before performance.

(Wiring/lowered springs/shocks/tie rod ends/bushes etc.)

Also fixed most of the interior...

whats left is;

- boot popper broken, gotta fix. :@
- hook up the stereo in a different center console, other one was split in half an re-joined. (also means fixing the wiring once again is a mess...)
- put in the other GSR seats to satisfy the original GSR owners haha... although i proved yas otherwise :P
- fix the side mirrors, bobby things, the red ones are missing.
- fit the better visors
- install brake lights on rear parcel shelf (H)

then interior is complete... and the way i want it... will clean up perfect :)

also need to find some fusion 4 inch speakers to fill the door panels... hopefully i can pick up a cheap set off ebay to match my rear speakers. :thumpsup:

Then when im back from adelaide ill probably do some more before the charger such as;
fixing the ding in the rear end, and fixing the rust that was created because of it.. also fix rust in the drivers side door.

then exhaust i spose haha.
