Cheers driftforlife, it is slowly coming along. I am hoping it will be finished by my birthday in March. Fingers crossed.

I wasn't too sure when I came up with doing the chrome red either GC75. But now I think it looks pretty cool and it matches the tail lights.
Don't forget to take heaps of pics as you do the work, we all wanna see, lol

Nah sorry mate, only have the one grill centre.
I am holding out on the interior until I get the paint finished and dash done.
Hopefully after my XMAS break I will have a heap more done, would be nice to have either the engine in or body finished by then.

Pulled the front end apart today. I will be taking bits and pieces to work to sand blast and paint up all nice and pretty, lol
I have been putting this off to keep it a rolla but the time has come, I will have my coil overs by the end of the month and don't want to be putting them in a dirty old front end.

Thanks heaps guys, I appreciate the support it means a lot on a long, long build, lol
All I need now is the time to finish it really, few extra $$$'s wouldn't hurt either.
Pretty sure I will get a set of these when I don't need $800 for anything else, like that will ever happen, lol

I realy like the tail lights,, BUT i still like what we have, and id be willing to bet that if most galants came with those other tail lights and the std GC tail lights were rare, then everyone would get exited about them. $790s just a little to expensive for the novelty for me, but if some come up for a reasonable price oneday i might get them just for the hell of it.

Whats the need for having the struts gusseted? Do they flex or crack?
I got some GH green legs the other day with plans to coil over them, but when i noticed the std Galant struts have a bolt on caliper bracket (easy custom caliper/rotor upgrade) and the koni race struts fit them, i saw no reason to swap them? Infact the lower the unsprung weight the better.

I know what you are saying about the tail lights, If they are still available next year I will grab them just because, even if I never use them.

The coil over don't need to be gusseted but these were made for a race car so I guess if you were running some really heavy springs through them it would be wise. I will only be running 225-275lb springs in mine, or there abouts once I get chance to play with the set up.

Awesome project and great attention to detail...
And just noticed the upside down JAF sticker! Ah, those crazy Japs..
I love the car in the silver color with the stripe around the back, and it would look good over the front too, camaro style... can you photoshop one up?

Been ages since I have updated this thread, unfortunately this isn't an exciting update. Basically with the festive season on us I will achieve fuck all. I have shoulder surgery on Jan 20th so will be out for a few weeks after that so not really expecting alot of movement until March or April.
Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and a safe holiday season. Catch ya'all in 2010

Cheers

I've got one of those, although a bit smaller and on the other side. I got a steel pin put in.
Did they have to replace you Clavicle (Collarbone)?

Not fully replaced but they took a heap of bone from my hip and used a plate to join the new bone to the clavicle. Feels better 3 days after surgery than it has for the last 10 months.
