are there one or two wires on the sender unit. you may have them around the wrong way as one operates a fuel light. (well on the GH it does... dunno about GK). Also you dont have to drop the tank to get to the wires, the is a plate in the tire well the will just peel off and will give you access to them.

Ok sorted out the fuel sensor problem
thanks for helping out guys
looks like C_Fernance was right must of been a little bit of paint
left on the terminals of the sensor (even though cleaned before put back in), just loosened the nuts
for the tank enough to drop tank a little,
so could get my hands in there, so didnt have to fully
take tank out again, just ruffed up the terminals with some sandpaper
and now seems to be working again, yay :D , so now should get further on a tank
of fuel, now that the GSR has a fuel tank that doesn't leak lol

Oh and here are some better quality pics of the GSR
the ones earlier on in this topic took with my fone cam
and weren't very good.

my GN has efi conversion, K&N air intake and extractors
the only things really wrong with her atm is that there is a massive rust spot on the boot about the size of a 50c coin but i am gettin a GSR boot from Panda soonish :D , a few dents which give me the shits and the interior is a lil dodge but apart from that she is treatin me nicely.
i did find an imaculate GSR the other day but the guy wants $2850 for it and i don't have that molah and dad doesn't want me havin 2 cars at home :x so yer maybe one day ill find one and do her up :D

its in a car yard down Pt RD end of Tapleys hill RD

it is champeign gold and i don't think it has done 100,000km yet but don't quote me on that one
the car has sparkling pepperpots on her and interior is immac like the best i have seen.
the guy who has it was drivin it for a bit and the head went on it so its got a brand new head and a few hoses i think
he told me he brought it from a grandma so its been pretty well looked after.
the only things i can see wrong wif it is that the rear quarter on the driver side has been keyed and some1 has tried to paint over it with a different colour paint pen
and the dash has a small split in it near the clock so yea apart from that i thought it was a good car.

the car yard looks a bit dodgy tho he has a fair few older magnas and he said he had some scorpians out back but didn't show them to me he told me to look through the fence :x couldn't really see them tho but they are a bit dodge i think.

completely rusted out hardcore along the bottom

is he only gonna let u drive it if your gonna buy it?
tell him he's dreaming.....

yeah how much he say to u for the scorps?
i looked at em
look brand new under bonnet really low km's
but paint looks like hasn't been polished in 10yrs
and car's prob havnt been started for that long either and
prob been sitting in same spot also fr 10yrs as well

if i was u id wait for TUFSIG to have another GSR for sale

he never said anything about the prices for the scorps but knowin him probably 2 grand or something.
yea i don't think that ill get it i will probably hold off on getting a GSR until i fix up my beast and got some dosh :D
i have some pics of the GSR if you want me to post them.
i think it'd make a very good parts car or rust free body (apart from the door.)
he tried to start the thing but she didn't start (dead battery he told me  )

So TUFSIG wen u gettin another GSR and sellin it :D
coz i'd be interested if i got the cash!

Hey everyone havent been on in a while,

sorry about that undies, as soon as you left i realised the scorpions had been moved out of site! They belong to my brother (its my dads car yard) and he had them stored in the corner for ages but he moved them, i didnt realise!!

And i may be dreaming but liek ive said who everyone who has looked at it, its not there to be sold, its my own car and if someone wants to pay what i want then so be it... if not, no problems!

Do old magnas make a place look bad? hmm, i collect them, have plenty, particularly the elante and gt models... if youre interested you can look at them on our site carcyclewholesale.com and click on the magna museum page :P

But thats just one of my hobbies, ive been intending to go on one of the cruises but ama bit scared of having teh trade plate on the car on a sat night or whenever they are... when more cars go i will for sure, blend in then!

Ok so shocks and new springs in
one more coat of paint and prob put back in
thinking paint hubs too......

theres also some pins on top so when mount it
the struts back in
you know there the right way around
guy at pedders said cut em of
and spin top around 180 degrees
spose to give you better toe in
or something

i just hope makes front end feel better

this what the look like now
Image

a comparison to the original springs a bit shorter ;)

Spinning the top mounts around 180 degrees will give you 1.5 degrees of extra negative camber on each side. This will give you better 'turn in' on high speed corners, but may make your 'straight ahead' steering feel vague. Try it & decide for yourself, easily restored if you dont like it.

does any one know how to loosen it so
we can take the belt off
without having to disturb to much as the power steering has been reconned
we tried loosenin some bolts one on top and bottom but still didnt seem to move

we thinking should be able to adjust like the fanbelt some how
because its so loose suprised it works at all................. :ugeek:

today took the GSR to get few things checked out

compression test: (dont know what it should be???)

DRY WET
1 167psi 180psi
2 185psi 197psi
3 180psi 195psi
4 173psi 182psi

also got timing checked- ok

also got a flange joint put in at end of extractors so people can unbolt
it instead of cutting it everytime they have to do something to engine.
already had to cut it to recon power steering.

also got it dynoed just out of interest of what sort of power we start with
Image
Image

61.8kW (82.9Hp) at wheels, was expecting a bit less
spose ok for pretty much standard 24year old siggy.
look at those peppers spin lol :D

also picked up EFI stuff today
Image
looms is all labbelled where everything goes
should make it alot easier ;)
Image

so getting there slowly ;)

also roughly worked it out that does about 12.7L per 100km's (twice what my toyota gets roughly)
but guess it was the 80's, nobody cared about fuel economy then lol
but don't think thats right, have to work it out again
