Magna's and Galants run the same rotor but with different calipers.........you find the Mitsubishi calipers to be a bit more adaptable than your Volvo units
(some Magnas do run twin piston calipers also......they are NOT PBR unit...they are made by AKEBONO....they are hardish to find....but can be found with a bit of patience)
you might be able to i know on my brake test for pink slip with my worked 4G32 no brake boost and standard front and back brakes i got 5.19 that just pasted ...was talking to a brake guy he was saying you can get remote brake boosters now so they can go on the inside of your wheel arch you just gotta run brake line through them
see how it goes i have seen quiet a few people upgrade their brakes with no booster, just have to wait and see i suppose, but i definitely don't plan on doing it if i dont have to, the car hasnt got any heavier, so with these brakes it should be stopping a lot better and thats the main thing
its a 4g63 out a vr4 or lancer evo 1,2,3, they are a narrow bolt pattern so pretty much bolt straight in to any early mitsubishi/chryslers that had the narrow bolt pattern engines so the galants, some lancers some sigmas some scorpions i believe. So yes it is rwd and if you have a manual it does bolt straight up to your standard 4spd with a sigma flywheel wouldnt recomend a 4 spd but it is doable be better to go to the jap 5spd out of some sigmas, there are other alternatives for gearboxes also though really depends on what you are wanting out of it

We WISH it was... The EVO 1 to 3 engine is the easier engine out of the EVO range to use for a RWD install as the manifolds are on the right sides of the block to convert. Main issues with the conversion are water pump and coolant plumbing, and the crank angle sensor on the head (this is talked about a lot on here but if you use common sense and follow the tried and true methods you can't go wrong...) There are at least 2 prime examples of this conversion on our members' rides. The other issue is finding these engines now - they are getting pretty old as far as Evolution Lancers are concerned.
yeah it aint a straight swap but it isnt all that hard either, as long as your happy to just plug away at it and get done what you can when you can then id say anybody can do the job, and if your reall handy then you will piss it in no worries ive been going a good 3 or 4 years on it, but i work split shifts so when i get time i do what i can then i have times when work or family or what ever it is takes up all my time but i always go back to it getting it done a little by little
