Yep :D still not 100% satisfied on the mags. Yet. I like the sporty look 15s give. So I'm hoping the lower profile tyre on these and a low car will fill those needs :)

Also! Got myself a set of gh struts. Discs are pretty rusty, but the casing is all I pretty much wanted :)

Question; Do 13s fit over the gh sigma brakes?

And what goes in the bottom of it? Where the 3 bolts are. There's nothing there but a dish and 3 holes for the bolts.

But plans for these are; coilover sleeve kit. Slotted rotors. And a good set of pads :) same as Jase :P

:D thanks!

I have a mate coming tomorrow with a guard roller. Hope to get those tyres under em :P

A bloke was supposed to come today to get a start on the rust that's left. And once that's done, another bloke will paint it :)

After that, the windows are being done.

Then put it together. Then get it to a dyno

After all that... Roady and rego! :D hope to be done before Xmas :D

Well! My goal today was to sort out all the little stuff that was left after the twin carb conversion.

Done! :D took it for its first drive around the yard in over a year :D

Here's a vid. She's running very rough and it was crammed in my shed, so the air coming from the noise was echoing straight into my face. So it gassed me out :P

Haha! Thanks :D

Was just coming to do that :P

I found a bloke who will so my paint for $1200. He supplies everything. In 2 pack :D just the same colour again, but still a nice colour none the less :)

Had an early day at work so I decided to start stripping the old girl ready for paint :)

Here's the start

The barest I've seen her in years!

While its all off I'll do behind the lights and grille black, along with the frame the lights mount on.

So.... Pretty quiet in here :P

Update time! :D

Got a little but done today. Started her up for the first time in 2 weeks. Second try (first time the battery was tired and didn't want to cooperate), she fired straight away, no wind overs, just hit the key and an instand roar of pornographic 4g32ness :P

Got her out of the shed and turned her around so I could work on the rear end.

Got it all stripped out and I'll sort out the taillights (typical gb sedan housings... Farked). I'll try some fibreglass first up... And paint em up nice :)

Why the hell, did they not put a drain hole in the spare wheel well?! Lol it needs it IMO

Anyway, I also straightened up the exhaust so it's up a fair way now, might actually be legal height?? Have to get the tape out and have a squizz :)

No need for a drain hole in the wheel well if the plenum is in good nick - most are rusted out.
While you have the fibreglass happening, check it out :)

Finally got off earlyish from work today, so I made it to the nut and bolt shop to buy my replacements :) all in stainless and looking good :D

Here they are all fitted up without the springs (need to find new ones or get mine dipped/sprayed with rust converter). The retainer trims need a steel wool and polish. But it was a trial fit to see if the screws fit (slightly larger heads).

Image

Also bought some new plugs to rewire my taillights. Mine have multiple spade terminals into the light plug. So if you don't get it right, the indicators could be red, reverse lights orange, and brake lights white :P also got some spiral wrap so all the boot wiring can be tidied up and tucked away :)

Looking good mate. The steering arms on your galant look a bit longer than my stock LA lancer ones, wonder if they would be a bolt in upgrade for a better turning radius

Done some cleaning up today :) boot lip came up better than I expected!

I painted it all so it sealed it all after the rust converter. Done the same procedure to other small amounts around the place.

Getting all ready for Friday so the welder can weld in the new steel :) he's coming Friday. Then I hope to send her away Sunday for paint :D if all goes well. I can pick it up the following Friday and start reassembling :)

Getting excited! :D

Have many refurbished parts now as I've been at it every day I've had off and every arvo after work. Got her stripped of the removable panels except the doors and guards. The rest of the panels along with the replacement passenger front door is away for paint as the car won't be ready until at least Friday and the bloke was bored :P

I'm biting the bullet as noone wants to lend out their tools, so I'm buying it myself. I'm finally getting an engine crane! :D

Had the boot lip replaced and welded back in. It's a little rough but I don't care. It goes under a boot rubber etc.

Just yesterday I got my guards rolled so the new wheels will fit once I go lower :)

Hit the exhaust out ready for a tidy up. The blokes who welded it done a crap job and there's holes blown all over the place! So I'll redo all those :)

While the engine is out, I'll give it a full detail, polish all the bits I want polished. Replace plugs, leads, points, rotor button, cap, filters and hoses (most of which will be braided).

While the master cylinder is out I'll clean it up new.

Once the car is back ill pull the front out of it, replace the rubbers and paint the components. Hopefully I'll have the gh struts ready before then :) could I have a listing for some really good pads for them? Thanks :)

Then I'll get some black body deadener and do in the guards, boot and cab.

So some fiddly other bits here and there and get the windows in.

Throw the carpet in, all the interior and trim of which I will make new door cards for :) get the wiring run back through the engine bay... PROPERLY! Lol. And put her all together.

Get it tuned and take her over for a rwc and rego :D

My goal time is before Xmas this year. It was the 7th dec for mopar mayhem. But realistically. I can't see that happening :P

I'm off for work, so pics later :)
