New member from VIC (:

Post by SIKMA »

Hi,

My names Tommy, and Im from Victoria. My dad and I have just bought a GK Sigma.

It was completely unplanned :P We were looking for a sub 5k car for A to B driving and we came across a Sigma with all the goodies. One test drive and we were sold.

We should be able to pick up the car this weekend, I will try and get some pics up ASAP in the members ride section. (:

P.S. was reading some threads before on sigma cruises in melb, Our sigma is in full running order and I will be looking forward to any future cruises in Melb. (:

Thanks all. :D

75wagon-
I actually just thought of the username :P first one that popped up xD
The sigma we bought was a silver one but, the owner we bought it off gave it a fresh respray, in 2 tone Canary yellow over black! :P But for what it had (you'll see when i get some pics of the engine) we couldnt resist to buy it haha.

Just some extra info, we actually have our main project car which is unfortunately not a Mitsubishi :P but a MX83 cressida with a 2jzgte + gt35r swapped into it atm.
Its very different to driving a sigma, but I can tell you I never thought sigmas were this fun to drive! :D
Even though were dumping most of the dosh into the Cressy, im planning to spend a bit to turn our Sigma into the best possible condition it could be in. You probs all know the typical problems that happen to 20+ year old cars :P

btw: in the past we've had 2 mitsubishis; a early 90s lancer hatch and a 80s magna wagon, both have been great and reliable cars :D

haha yeh, builds sure take longer than you think lol (experience from the Cressy)

The guy selling the sigma to us, had his sigma in the build for around ten years...well thats what it seems like from his photos and the fact that its been passed on from a few family members. Slow process but, the more time you take the better the end result is. :D
