Hi I'm 75Wagon..
I've had my GC wagon for 5 years. I've given it a bare metal respray fitted Old Skool wheels and put 3 years into the rebuild. I just got it back on the road in Jan. It's got a 1600 with twin carbs and 5 speed. I've also fitted recaros. Just about to fit another 1600 and a heavy duty clutch. I bought it with 96000kms (genuine) not clocked, was a one owner deceased estate. The only thing wrong with it was the paint. One piece of rust smaller then your thumb nail. I couldn't believe it when I found it.
I bought my first Galant in '93!
I've had 8 galants,4 GB's (one wagon), 3 GC wagons, and 1 GD wagon.
I've also had 2 LB lancer hatches, 1 LC lancer hatch, 1 78 sigma, and currently have a 2005 Lancer VRX wagon.
just passed the blue slip.
Bare metal strip, and trying to get it straight.
Thanx for taking the time to look.
It might not be quick but it sounds good.
If anyone has a genuine taco I'd be interested, it's about all I'm after now...

Re: Another galant in Newcastle
Yeah,I did everything on the car myself, paint included. That's why it took me so long.
I took one of my sons model cars to the paint shop asked them to find the closest colour they had to it. It took them 2 days but this is what they found. I'm really happy with it. It's off a 2002 Kia (don't know what). Can't remember the name would have to check.
I wanted a colour that looked like it was standard in 75, but anyone who knew would know better.
I've tried to keep the car in as close to '75 look as possible. I've had the wheels since '94. They make it I think.
The exhaust and carbies together have a really nice note.
Newer cars just don't make a sound like that.
Wish it was quicker, but i just can't bring myself to change it.
