The later model didn't have it, they only had a 5 speed.
The power/ economy shift selects between 2 different diff ratios that you change whenever you want. It's what the second gearstick is for, for those that don't know.

So what model is it Brett, RB, RC or RD? I know it's not an RA because it has the wrong bumpers and dash, and they only ever came with a 1400 (and it wasn't a Saturn).

yeah has the lenco shifter in it

its an RC, has the 4G32 in it
ran the tape measure over a few things, and the astron is not gonna fit :@ :P

its maybe a bit low, i cant back out the driveway, cos the linkages hit the ground
and pull it out of reverse

and the Galant Sports Pack rims look alright on it
pity the pots hung out way too far on the front
they look great on it, really suit it imo

You can get some speed out of the colt if you shift the dual range right - go from 2nd economy into 3rd power in one motion. :D

People pay lots of money for close ratio gearboxes but the colt (and cordia) had one built in.

I did find that the RB, RC ones did wear something in the box that meant it wouldn't stay in economy.

Also the 14" Sigma mags do just squeeze under the guards.

Keep an eye on the rust in the back corners if you want to avoid spending money on it
