I must get out and take some pics.

The first one is from the old site. was probably taken in 2003/2004. I will replace it with a new one shortly.
Paint was done by a mate (at mates rates) so it was sprayed in the shed, instead of using his booth. Bit of dust and floating things stuck to the paint, but it was a reasonable job for not much more than the cost of the paint.

Engine bay at the time. Adjustable boost worked great. Played with boost up to 18lb with an overbored CD175 and it went like the wind. Finished up running 14lb as a happy medium. Had to be way rich to run 18.

Engine bay ,how it is today. removed the turbo adjustable boost control, Fuel pressure reg and fuel pressure gauge. Trying to eliminate as many joins in the fuel line as possable.
Motor is basicly a stock Astron ll , running all of the GH turbo manifolding and oil cooler. Block has been O ringed and a TR Magna oil pump added. Been running like this since 2002. And yes, I will put the heat shields back on (and the bonnet)

Interior is basicly stock apart from a couple of gauges , and the wheel. And the GPS so I can find where I am going

With the addition of a couple of electrical item ( fuel pump / additional Radiator fan /100 watt outer light globes ) I decide that I need to tidy my relay mess. So I attached them all to this nifty little mounting plate. Just to the right is an Inertia switch to cut power to the pump in the event of a bingle

Very nice wagon indeed, and a basicly stock engine for 8 years is nice to here,would like to turbo mine and I know I cant afford a bullet proof bottom end so as I say, nice to here that yours has held together .I like the plates too.

I went online at the RTA site to see what was still around, and the first thing I tried was GN2600, and it was available

I can see myself being sent to the Build forum because these projects are never really finished

Had to put the boost control back on to make the thing run
The bottom fitting into the wastegate is as loose as hell, and impossible to tighten without removing the gate or the manifold. Sucking in so much air that it was running like a pig. The boost control consists of a pressure regulator and a pressure relief valve.
The relief would be stopping the intake from sucking in the air from the wastgate.

PS that is not RUST below the fuel pump, it is rustproofing, it is everywhere

Not long after i put all of the trims back on, after the respray , I was doing a quick check around and I found that the spring steel clips that held the stainless gutter trim in place had worn thru the paint , and the body and the clips were staring to rust. Rather than put the S/S trim back on, I bought some of this black trim usually used around car door openings. Cost about $20 from Clark Rubber.

I was lucky that the first owner had it rust proofed. And the stuff is still tacky 25 years down the track.

Makes it so much easier when you are not continually having to fix rust.

nothing wrong with old school I am running starion rims until i can get my guards pumped at the front. Have you lowered yours at all?

Yep she's lowered. The black sills kind of make it look higher than what it is.

Might have to paint them body colour one day.

Starion front struts and ventilated disc's.

Lovell springs. The strut tubes have been shortened by 39mm just above the bottom spring seat. I should have dressed the weld a bit and painted them, but I was in a hurry . Fitted Skyline/Pintara inserts and bolted them all in place.
