Re: Cessnock revfest
Thanks for that link CASS, sounds like its going to be a good, big event!
I drive past the airport on my way to work everyday.
Here is the info off that link..
Street Machine Magazine Revfest at Cessnock. zburnouts, Super Sprints, Show and Shine, Speed Skids, Traders and more. Entry via Debeyers Rd (off Broke Rd). Parking available on site. NO Alcohol. Free competitior entry to Shaow an Shine (at officials discretion). All cars registered. Full exhausts. $1,000's in prize money.Entry forms can be downloaded off the website or collected from Auto One and Pedders in Cessnock.. For further information call 0458 654 983. NEW DATE: NOVEMBER 14th. This is the only Street Machine event in Australia that offers free entry to Show and Shine (with almost 50 trophies available!), cheap entry to driving events and we know that it will be massive on the day. Given the feedback and entries we have received thus far, we would not be surprised if we had 10,000 people turn up on the day. The list of tough cars is endless; Phil Kerjeans blown and injected wagon, Mick Brashers tyre-frying, blown and injected Corolla, Bob Heritage's nitrous-fed eight second Torana, a truck load of Top Doorslammers and 10.5 Outlaw cars, a massive presence by the Australian Pro Street Association with a stack of seven and eight second street cars including Simon Kryger nitrous fed, big block-powered, seven second LH Torana! The list of Traders is endless with some super smooth rides coming from Kingpins Kustom Paint and Panel and of course, Danya Gough's new killer blown and injected combination in the trusty, Summernats burnout winning Falcon from Kranky Kustoms. The Army are keen to get involved, there are jet planes in the Show and Shine, kids rides and a mountain of entertainment. Also Our Sponsors Shannon's Insurance will be on site all day to support the event and talk to anyone with enquiries.

I went for a few hours today, definitely needs some improvements but overall was pretty good.
Nice mix of old and new cars.
it was a bit of a torana fest in the drags, i think the last 4 were all toranas....

Re: Cessnock revfest
Great to see the older cars beating the newer cars!!
But it was only 1/8th mile,
and some of those newer Commadores were twin turbo V8s so traction was a prob ;)
It has alot of potential for the coming years!
Some elevated seating next to the track would have been a great start
