Re: EDIT TAB
The edit function had been removed to suit the retro nature of the site and the cars that it covers.

Re: EDIT TAB
The reasons why the edit button has been removed have been mentioned numerous times by the admin team and quite frankly, given the amount of time spent to keep this site running without funding and (sometimes it seems) support, I hack their reasoning.

Re: EDIT TAB
Yes we used to have an edit tab.
No, I didn't remove it.
Yes there was alot of discussion about it (between the mod/admin team).
Has it fixed the problem? Yes.
Is it time to put the edit tab back? I'm unsure atm.
The minority always seem to spoil things for the majority.
It's pretty easy fixed for those that want it returned. Just use the preview tab, it shows what you will be posting before you commit to posting. It's the same as an edit tab, but before anyone else gets to see it.

Re: EDIT TAB
Preview != edit. Hence the reason there are two different words!
Re: EDIT TAB
I'm very grateful of all the efforts the admin team put in. as for all this talk about the edit button... first I've heard of it
I just made the suggestion (in the forum suggestion thread) to return a function that would be handy.
if there's a good reason why it was removed that's cool no issues from me
Thanks Dave for clarifying/highlighting the issues.
admin: feel free to close this thread but id make it a sticky in case other people would like to know why there is no edit tab
again cheers for all your hard work

Re: EDIT TAB
but what if you wanted to add some extra details, pictures or links to a post at a later date instead of making a new post ?75wagon wrote:It's pretty easy fixed for those that want it returned.
