Longer studs

Post by Rally_2.6LC »

Hey guys just wondering if you knew where I could buy longer studs from.
Looking for the same size as normal Mitsubishi's (M12x1.5) but after like 70-80mm long

Try here ..... http://www.niceproducts.com.au/catalogu ... /wheel.php

Pretty much any parts place will be able to get them in for you.

I bought a complete set of slightly longer ones for my Galant, because the stock ones didn't quite stick out far enough with the Scorpion alloys (I think I ended up with Magna/Verada ones). Can't remember what they cost .... wasn't anything stupid though.

why do you want longer studs? my LB came with longer 1/2" studs instead of the 12mm ones in the diff and i never quite understood why

With the Scorpion alloys on my GB & standard studs, I couldn't get the full depth of the wheel nut on the stud .... the wheel centre is thicker than the stock steel rim.

They were probably still OK safety-wise, but just made me nervous looking at them !

Yea bought some from nice products, very happy.
16 of them cost me about $96.
Mine were ok, but I wanted more thread (like davetrees said). Im running bathurst globes and they were ok but, dunno just seen it done to a few other rally cars and like the idea. Needed to buy open ended wheel nuts to go with them though. They were $60 for a set of 16
