Re: lower control arms
as far as i know sigma gh ge lca's are the same length as lancer ones... why do you want the extra lenght?
BUILT NOT BROUGHT BY ALGIE.
Re: lower control arms
i think i have gk ones..
its for negative camber for a rally car.. still not sure if its gonna be too much camber though

Re: lower control arms
Still not 100% sure on this.. Anyone know?
Re: lower control arms
Use GJ on lower control arms plus the bolt that attaches it to the crossmember (ie the pivot bolt).
The Sigma LCA has a bush with a smaller hole in it than the Lancer one.
Cut off the Lancer "pivot bolt" (that went through the bush in the LCA) from the retaining plate.
Drill a hole the centre of the plate the same diameter as the Sigma pivot bolt.
Use the Sigma ball joints but use the Lancer steering arms/lower strut mounts.
Refit the retaining plate to the crossmember.
Insert LCA and fit Sigma pivot bolt (from the rear) and fit nut (don't tighten).
Connect strut, radius rod, etc.
Let car down onto wheels THEN tighten the nut on the pivot bolt.
cheers

Re: lower control arms
I wanted longer LCA too, I used Starion LCA, bush and ball joint onto my GH struts.
Sway bar and radius rod line up and gave me an extra 1.5-2 inch on the lancer ones.
I will say this though......the car has not run yet, test day is on Sunday at a motorkhana....its the entire car test day lol.
Will let you know how it goes.

Re: lower control arms
i ended up just getting adjustable strut top mounts, seemed the easier option..

Re: lower control arms
Awesome...where did you get those from?
When I put my LC on the ground it is now running some serious neg camber (bit much for tally, probably around 2.5-3 degree at a guess) so looking for strut tops to bring them back a little.
Cheers Matt

Re: lower control arms
Just FYI, the starion LCA gave me 2.8 degrees and 3.2 degrees neg camber (driver, passenger)
Wouldnt mind a link to those generic ones you bought as I want to turn mine back to around 2 degrees
Cheers Matt

Re: lower control arms
$100 Universal Camber Adjustment Plates on Ebay.
A bit of work involved to fit them, and the shipping on 1 item is $40 (but only $6 for each additional set).
Have seen the use of a pair of thrust bearings to greatly increase the life of the pillow ball in the strut tops. Again, a fair bit of work required but not particularly difficult.
I'd at least look at using a high density nylon bush to help (a little) with the sudden high shock loads.
Cheers.

Re: lower control arms
I am going through this conversion now.
The arms are about 4cm conger. Change the inner bushes with the new super pro ones but leave the centre steel sleeve out. Then the lancer pins fit.
I am using sigma struts so I am keeping the sigma steering arms on.
But I have a question, the sigma steering arms seem to be offset to take away negative camber, so are there sigma steering arms that are not offset? I am looking for as much negative as I can.
I hope to have the car back on the ground today.

Re: lower control arms
it is some time since I did mine, I think you put the center sleeve in the bush and use a GH or GE bolt. there are a few different strut bottoms/steering arms. I think they are numbered 1 to 5 with an L or R
