gj scorpion auto help

ive just got a gj scorpion and the carby was rooted i have put my webber on it but there is a rod that goes to the trans from the original carby is this just a kick down device?? and can i just disconect it cheers

reconnect it or the box wont kick down

so ive got to connect it to the webber? does it just work with the throttle.

Yep works with the throttle. I tried to dodgy something up in the past and wired the kickdown so it was locked in the halfway position when i did a turbo conversion. It would flare up between gear changes and was overall horrible to drive. I thought the box was completely stuffed. Went to a cable setup (bought a kit to suit a 904 in a valiant) and it worked perfect.

cheers ive taken the bracket off the gay magna carby and it fits in the webber havent tested yet as i cant get her running

make sure the cable has no tension on it when the throttle is closed

its actuly a rod but same thing yea no tension on the rod.are these adjustable for shift points like a vacume module on the trimatics?
