Should i use hydraulic cam setup or go back to solid?

Need to know what will be better off for my setup.
Building a 2.0ltr efi turbo astron. Picked up an M7 head today, obviously hydraulic setup. I will be putting in a turbo friendly cam, now should i leave it as is or put the old astron 1 stuff in and go solid?
Ive seen people do both, i would like to know ups and downs of both setups if possible.

ive got a 2l cam and adjustable rockers in my magna head...

dont really know of the ups or down of the conversion, but i heard the hydraulic tappets can start to float above a certain rpm..
and theres something relaxing about checking valve clearances lol

if you are using the car for performance, definitely go with solid adjusters. I tried hydraulics on my race car and had valve float at 6200. with solid adjusters on the same engine I was able to go past 7500 rpm. I also noticed a lot more power mid range with mechanical adjusters

I just tried to fit the adjustable tappets/rockers to my Astron II head and while it all bolts up and fits, there's way too much play on the rockers when the valves are closed! I used the early model cam, rockers, rocker arms with the later model front and rear rocker arm mounts...

I ran the early model adjustable rockers and cam for 10 years on my GN. Never had an issue. Only just recently removed it to put on rollers.
I just had a look at the adjustable rocker setup I took off ,and there is still a mile of adjustment left whey they have the specified clearance.

Strange, I was able to get the right adjustment but the inner bolt was half way inside the locknut's thread! Also, how did you seal up the back of the head with the roller rocker cam? I tried a stock TR Magna rear cam seal but it moves and leaks because there's no water pump pulley to keep it in place...

Sounds like you need longer adjuster screws the last set I used was out of a early 80's laser or you can change to Porsche 911 elephant feet adjuster screws they are a lot nicer to the tops of your valves.
