4g54 help!

Post by fonz »

hi guys i own a 1995 triton 2wd with the 2.6 astron II?

just wanted to know why it is painfully slow?
did a little service consisting of new 8mm leads, oil filter and oil.
made a little difference but not up to scratch, ill put a vid up showing how slow it actually is tomorrow.

just sussing out he carby and i found a screw that pretty much doesnt do anything when i turn it either way.

also would like to know all the timing specs as i am going to do a full service tomorrow after work.

thanks guys,

That screw in the link doesn't do anything mate........................... mainly as it isn't connected to a bonnet not an engine

Anyone know if a Triton diff uses the same 'U' bolts as a Gally?? Would they be the same diameter???

maybe its because a Triton weighs more than a Sigma so it doesnt go as well.......or did it use to perform better and recently has just died in the ass???

a triton ute weighs 1220 kgs, well mine does its an 88 model. sigmas are 1210 from memory so no difference there, i would say its shit fuel or some carby prob. we have some shit unleaded in tassie at the moment.
