4g54 main bearings

Hey guys, I'm currently putting my 2.6 back together and I noticed that the bearings that were removed had the grooved half in the block. Is this how they're supposed to go in? It's just that my thinking is, if the groove is on the bottom - or the main cap, then they'll never go dry as the groove keeps the oil in it.
Am I right in thinking this??

IMO You need to have the oil feed hole and the bearing holes inline no matter which bearing has the oil supply hole.

G'day mrg
The grooved bearing goes in the block (top) and the plain bearing in the cap (bottom). The grooved bearing will have a hole in it that lines up with the bearing oil supply. The plain bearing is on the bottom as that is where the maximum load occurs and has the maximum surface area to take the load.
