The MCA-Jets were there for emissions control. They injected a swirl of air to help combustion. I am not sure what happens in the intake, but the air inlet for the MCA-Jets are a small hole above the main inlet.

when the intake valve is opened, the MCA-Jet valve is opened, and allows air to pass from that small opening to the combustion chamber near the spark plug.

The pictures above are from my MCA-Jet 4G52 head. The 4G32 should be similar. To get the MCA-Jets working again, it should just be a matter of installing the MCA-Jets back in, and make sure you have the MCA-Jet rockers and intake.

I think they are the same. I have not had much experience with the 4g32 engine, so I could be wrong.

A long time ago I bought a replacement G32B head for my LB Lancer hatch (Celeste) from an importer that turned out to be an MCA jet valve unit. Comparing it to the fwd G32B head there only appeared to be 1 gallery different (I used the head gasket as a reference). Unfortunately I don't remember if I had modified the gasket to use the MCA head but it worked fine on my G32B engine. I had the jet valves disabled(the head reconditioner told me tales of the small jet valves burning out). In hindsight, I would've been better off leaving them fully functioning. In short - it will work fine as a replacement for your current head.

For fwd you will need a fwd head. The rear drive heads don't have the mounting point for the top engine mount that the fwds require.
You would need to source a head from the RB/C/D Colt from Australia or possibly even a 4g32 powered Cordia/Tredia from New Zealand?

Sorry Dave, but the G32B engine front mounts from the side of the block and a cast support in the middle of the timing belt cover. You can pull the head of a Cordia/Colt without removal of the front engine mount (if you really felt like a challenge).

im with mr geezer on this ive observe my engine many many times and im not bothered by the engine mounts as what mr geezer said the mounts are bolted on each side of the engine block what bothers me is that if there is any difference between the two heads maybe difference in head bolts water ports oil ports etc...

The fwd and rwd G32B's use the same head gasket and the head bolts are the same. As per my earlier post, I think there was 1 gallery different but I used it without any faults or issues occuring.
