Hi dave!

yes! that's what im after! thanks for the scanned files! i have both here in my garage.. a single down and twin down with manifold same as yours! i need tose infos because there are still things that i cannot understand regarding mikuni slex carbys.. tried using solex for sometime but it has this problem that whenever i go WOT, it will speed up and made a certain speed like 150kph then after a little while, it bogs down like the engine is getting flooded.. had to lift the pedal and it will be back again.. it gave me headaches on top speed runs.. but quite good on acceleration.. after using solex, i installed the stock carb for local lancer a174 here in our country, the Aisan carb.. been using for quite a long time now.. but i want to use solex again for a change.. and i have a Mitsubishi Works Cam #6 and will pair it up to twindown solex..

questions, is the pilot jett of solex is the same as the "idle jett"? if so, why is there 2 pilot jetts?

thanks Dave!

cheers

I had a similar problem, but I had parts missing on my carbs. I tried to make the secondaries open by using a spring instead of the depression chamber (part 41 on twin diagram), it didn't work.

I would look at the way the secondaries operate, it sounds like you have a problem with the secondaries only.
Then I would look at the jet sizing's, the twin run 1300 carb jets instead of the 1600 ones. There are 3 that need to match. Check all 3.
Look on the comparison chart at the jet sizing's and see which ones are different to the standard size

Are your carbs complete?
Got any pics of them?

One is for air, the other is for fuel.
