piston to valve clearance

does anybody now how much deeper the valve pockets have to be when going from a std cam grind to a mild. Engine is a 4g63t 8 valve running 3gte turbo toyota pistons. Valve clearance is just ok (2mm on inlets) with the std cam but may not be with a modified 1. thanks

I think you will find that a cam grind or a performance cam only lets the valve open for a longer duration and doesn,t effect depth but I,m no mechanic cheers Chris
