I own 2 (and a half?) 1979 LC Lancer hatchbacks and a JB Starion .Our family car is a 1999 V6 manual Camry on LPG.
I presently have the Starion and the Camry registered and ,being 30 yrs of age,am hoping for special registration for the orange Lancer when finished .I may sell the Starion then.
I 've owned a sigma in the past and a Cordia also and have a big interest in these cars although family commitments are taking a priority right now.

Hi all,

I'm Nathan from the Hawkesbury region in Sydney.
I'm a retail scale tech (weighing type not fish) for one of Australia's biggest and oldest scale company's looking after those 2 big supermarket chains as well as the a lot of independants. I'm actually a fitter by trade as well but is actually the skill I use least with my job (more i.t and electronics).

I own a 4 door LA that I perchased from Carlos at Sportsclassic. I plan on doing it up s a road/club car. It currently has a 4g32 with twin solex's and a jap 5 speed.
Next thing will be rust cut out and a respray.

Hi all,
I'm Lindsay from Berwick Melbourne. I've been in the background from time to time on the Lancer Lair (as my enthusiasm dictates). Some of you will have heard from me over the past few years. I have a "photo bucket" area where you can veiw the extensive list of mods going on with my yellow LC Hatchback .... I think it is "Lancer_sr20" or similar (at work atm - so I'm blocked by our IT to look up photo bucket). I work for HSV in Clayton and have built a few cars when I was a little younger including a Torana SS Hatchback showcar, LC Torana "hot little street car", Mazda RX3 (Bridgeport and Turbo later on) , Commodore Cup circuit cars , Mazda 323 13B turbo Sports Sedan & some work with a V8 Super Car team for a few years! The car is for my 17yo son (18 in 5 months) .... or is it for me ?? :\ Still too much to be done on it, but the young fellow is hounding me to "get onto it" whilst he sorts out the sound system in the mean time ! I'll make an effort over winter to try to get it on the road and then "rip it apart" to do the paint job :)
Feel free to contact me about any of my mods - so you to don't fall for the same errors !!!

New to the "Lancer" side of SG, I have 6 Scorpions, HH GSR, HG GSR and VR4 Galants, 2 GN Sigma wagons and now a LC lancer hatchback.

GE/GH Scorps are my passion but I always wanted a LC hatchback to drop in a NA Twincam 4G63 or worked NA 2.4 Astron.
It will be fun either way.

Cheers.

All right..........

I'm Andrew, 37, self employed, based in Northern Sydney.
I've had 1GH wagon, 3 4door LA's, 3 2door LA, A GD Galant Wagon, interspaced by various rotary mazda's, and probably a couple, over the years, I've forgotten.
All have had various mod's and all have been raced.
I'm quite well known to a few on here, you know who you are..........
I've raced at various level's including 3 years of Clubcars, which is now IPRA, in the late 90's in the fastest of my Lancers.
I've had a bit to do with the old Bathurst Lancer and raced it a couple of times at historic meetings in the early 2000's.

Currently we have been supersprinting the GF's Fiesta XR4, but i've just bought a certain orange LC coupe to put all my old IPRA running gear into.
I will probably run it as a sports sedan, at a state level, once complete, but in the interim the XR4 will continue to cop a flogging.

Cheers,
Andrew

Andrew would that be a certain Orange LC that was sold as a rolling shell from down south??? (and it looked red to me....unless its a different one)
Im getting the 2.2L he bought from Drew for another project of mine.
Interesting competition 2.6 LC vs rota LC.....and yes i will keep it quiet, I know how good it feels to surprise people.

Cheers Matt

Hi I'm Matt, from northern NSW and am a horticulturalist.
I have a 74 2 door la lancer currently being built with a balance and bored to 1800 4g32 with toyota flattop pistons and fed by sidedraght delorto with lynx crossover manifold big brakes and hard suspension I won't go into all the details.
I also have a neat little 75 2 door La resprayed last year and retrimmed interior, stock standard though, I only picked it up a couple of weeks ago from Dubbo. I plan to build a sick little 1400 for it and sup up the suspension somewhat. gotta finish the other one first though, it's registered so at least I can drive an La again !

I'm new to the Lancer section. But now I can post here now too.

I think most members know me by now. I'm Dave and I'm 38. I'm based in the Newcastle region.

I've bought an LC Lancer Hatch that was previously owned by Lccoop.
It's got a 4G32B downdraught weber. GH Sigma struts, brakes and lowered front springs.
It's had a respray in Orange and has a black bonnet.
It's not something I would have done, but I actually don't mind it. I think it's growing on me?
Image

Since I've owned it:
I thought I'd continue with the Drift style of look the car almost has so I've recently fitted 16x8's to it (I think it's an improvement on the 14x6 Superlites that it had).
I've fitted a Stratos drivers seat (passengers one will be installed soon).
Image

Plans for the future:
Full respray, and just a general tidy up.This car was bought to replace my motorbike (which I have now sold) to be used as a daily driver. It doesn't mean I can't make it tidy though?
I'm loving being back in a hatch. I've had 3 before, 2 LB's and 1 LC.
It's very different to drive to my GC wagon.

Dave...

I'm Steve, 20 yrs old and am a cert 3 aged care nurse from Lake Macquarie.

My dad bought a 79 LC hatchback for my sister (si81gma), myself and him to work on. (Larry - in builds section)

Dad also has an LB hatchback with a 2.6 and many many mods but still under construction.

Also have a silver LC hatch that has a 2.6 astron in it atm but plans are to put that engine in Larry and build the silver one up as an unregistered club racecar with a 3.8ltr V6 commonwhore engine and auto. (Don't hold your breath though lol)

Can't wait to attend a cruise in Larry and see everyone elses rides. :)

Ola all,

Sam here from Jindalee in Bris-Vegas, I'm a bit of a newbie to the new forums, however posted a bit on the old ones. I have 2 Lancers both LA's the 4 door is my daily driver and is in the for sale section ...looks like no bites so I'm going to freshen up the body work on it.

It runs a 2.6 efi setup matched up to a Jap 5 speed box and a shortened scorpion diff with Discs all round Ford Hopper stopper Conversion for the front, Bilstein suspension and standard interior.
Second is my Bright Yellow 2 door ..this really needs a lot of work boy wise as i had a cheepy respray and they stuffed it but its good enough for the time being. its running some Rocking horse poo rare stuff, 1700 block 4g35, twin 42mm Weber's on a 'Gower' modified head, factory no. 8 cam. custom long throw 4 into 1 headers, factory LSD modified GH struts with Koni inserts. 4 point roll cage 5 speed jap box Recaro seats custom dash and interior that still needs some attention.

Old Pics of my cars can be found here http://www.sigma-galant.com/archive/mod ... highlight=

I've Recently moved back to Queensland and should hopefully be buying in the next 12 months, i can then get my Yellow one up (as its in storage in Adelaide) and start the slow restoration process.
