Installing Front shocks on an LA

Hi Guys,

I'm about to attempt the front shocks on the lancer this weekend.

Wanted to know what the trick was removing the the shock from the towers?

last time i tried i couldn't manage to unscrew the unit from the top spring seat.

A rattle gun would be ideal.
I dont have one, but I managed to undo that pesky nut using a long ring spanner and a short brickies hammer. Took a few shocks but worked eventually.
Loosen it with the things in the car, then take it completely off later (when youve got the spring compressors on).

Absolutely, that's how I do it.
As for the nut that retains the shock to the tower just hope it's not seized.... WD40 fixes everything though.
