let us know whats the best sorta way to go with this build as im tossing up if i should stroke the motor to be a bit different and up the bottom end power.
im in no rush to get the motor in as i just finished running in the 2.6 astron.

If he's spent 3.5k on the motor...my guess is that the bottom is already worked reasonably hard

If you wanna be different.....i'd look into ITB's

Yeah it is. Only thing is the rods arent forged. Im still looking into stroking the motor and yeah i will do itb with a custom pleinum. I am after a wide block gearbox either out of a starion or trition. Wondering which would be better and stronger? Possibly rebuild the box also and fit an r31 diff

I believe the Starion box run stringer input/output shafts than the triton

iv got a gh jap 5 speed behind a starion 4g63t never had any problems with it, starion has a hyd clutch so there might be more involved in setting up in a galant

In the end its your car but stroking the motor is a waste of money IMO. Even with stock rods and crank a 4g63t can make 250kw+ with almost no lag. My car will light up the rears (Dunlop semi's) in 3rd gear if you don't feed the power on smoothly and it only has 200rwkw. Look up some of the power the evo boys pull on stock long motors and then think of that in RWD, 300kgs less weight and a power train that sucks 30/40kw less power!
