What have people done to upgrade the sway bar on a GD? I have had a measure up and factory is 20mm. I saw somewhere here that someone put a 27mm on a Sigma I think.

Did you have to put in a special request?
What did they quote you for the bar itself?

Its on the first page under chrysler. $201 for front and $253 for the rear.

Thing is, i didn't think galants had a rear sway bar?

If not, would that mean mounts would need to be welded?

In regards to the rear sway bar, I took one off a Lancer hatch & had it fitted to my GC hardtop. I think it's a Selby (yellow?) but I painted it orange, because that's the colour I had at the time. It goes onto the diff housing about 1/3 of the way in from the wheels with U bolts, and is attached to the inner faces of the rear rails with angle iron that looks like it's bolted into place (I just went to check but it's hard to see with the car on the ground). If you want more detail, let me know & I'll put the car on ramps & photograph it. It does keep the rear way flatter when cornering. However, I have had problems lifting the inside wheel on really tight, cambered corners but not too often.
