My 2.6 ga galant
So i was hunting around for a little weekend car/ project car and i happend to find one on ebay. With heaps of orange peel and bits and peices dodged up heres a few photos
So i used 1000grit wet and dry sand paper started on the lh gaurd and bonnet comming up better then excpected
finally finished wet and dry sanding. I got together some sigma wheels and painted them up heres another pic
pretty happy with the progress
Found a guy in baulkhamhills that had 3 galants up forsale on gumtree, prefect timing ! the guy spent a bit on a blue gb galant heres a photo,
shame to see the amount of rust killing this poor gb galant, all underneth is been powder coated and looks great, once i get some spare time ill strip it and use the parts for my other toy ;)
came with heaps of parts with the 2 others, maybe too much haha.
the car had mint condition trim and seats beside the back seat was faded a little,
so i changed the orginal red
to this
Heres the faded back seat maybe i can sort something out to make it not as noticable.
i also found some 16x7 ssr wantabes on ebay for 250bucks got them resprayed heres a pic
hopfully it will suit haha
So on the day of a wedding
i was doing for my brother the headgasket blew and the alternator. HAAHAH oh well i knew i was up for one sooner or later.
after my mechnic pulled the head off he noticed the block had hair line cracks inbetween the water jackets and the headstuds. through out the whole top surface. So lucky Superscan811 had a block for me, sweet!
heres some photos of the old block
not the best photo,
SO it ended up getting a rebuild while everything was apart, the head arrived from the machine shop
ALSO one thing that i totally forgot to get the head ported dam, oh well.
ill get some photos of engine bay now as i got it resprayed and battery converted to the boot

Awesome build. Looks like you have a fair supply of spares which is always handy with old cars, lol.
Can't wait to see the progress

How much do you want for the fishtank lol thought I'd ask p.s have you checked out the rear quarters yet ? When it had the turbo setup I went and had a look magnet fell off down the bottom of them . Done a good job cleaning up the paint on it what's plans for it next ?

yeah i didnt pretty much the same thing, he sorta looked at me funny when i pulled the magnet out haha,
'im not to worried about it, in about year's time it'd be getting a full respray.
my next plan is to get some coilovers made up, change the orginal diff to a wagon diff.
start to slowly build my wideblock 2.6 got another year till im "legally" allowed to drive it lol

I was speaking to 2Lgalant and he told me about this! First silver ga/b I've seen! I'm glad I seen it. I kinda wouldn't paint it silver now (no offence! I really thing it's a one of a kind car. It looks great ), just my opinion any pics with the new rims?
