Firewall Cluth Guide

Post by smithdavidjames »

Hi All,

Manual Conversion is proceeding steadily with some timely intervention from superscan811... next question is how long is the clutch guide tube which protrudes from the firewall on a GE sigma?
Have a inexpensive non-weld solution just need to know how long to cut the tube... recon this will work? Washers to spread the force to stop fire wall flexing, clutch cable fits inside really well, and nuts to clamp either side of fire wall with lock nut.

you will find the clutch cable will cut through the end of that brass tube and eventually cut the cable, mine did it twice and got to the point where i was driving around with one spare in the boot to change cos it always happened. Hyd clutch in my opinion is the only way to go.
