Engine numbers on sigma turbos

Most liekly a stupid question.

Does the sigma turbos have matched numbers (engine and chassis)

They have numbers specific to the sigma turbo but the sync of engine to chassis numbers are out and randomly scattered within approximately 10 of the said numbers.

ie:
Build number 500 could have engine number 495 to 505.

If you ask some guys around with original engines in their factory siggy t's, what the difference in numbers is you'll find it's an average of 4 before. Im afraid i havnt kept the data handy that i had gathered. it will take some digging to be sure.

Curiousity got the better of me and I went out to the shed to take a look. Mine is No. 393 Chasis wise and the block ends in 388 - a difference of 5

i have number 17 of 500, and it has motor 26, that is a difference of nine.

pretty sure she is all original. it is gradually getting a tidy up, just odds and ends. its quite an early one as well.
