Aftermarket boot release install

Post by bruggz351 »

G'day peoples.
I scored a cheap electric boot release kit of ebay, delivered for under $11.

I installed the switch here...

I got power by splicing into the demister, behind the fuse box. The demister has a 20A fuse and the boot release came with a 15A inline fuse. Safe power to me...

I ran the power wire down the D/S under the scuff panels and ran it into the boot with the tail harness. But I broke the trim on the rear dog leg. :( Very brittle.

I accept donations, its blue...
The solenoid I mounted on the P/S of the lock. The lock on the siggy is not very user friendly, but I managed to mod it with a drill and a stanley knife.

Works noice. (H)

cheers
