Went to maccas to get a burger its on a main road,highway, maccas ,i saw this truck with cubes on it was like cool walked over to it to have a peep, looked at this one cube and cried , saw an old lancer badge, managed to pinch it, amazing it survived , the truck driver came outa maccas and I stooped him and asked what cars were these,he told me they cam from an old farm where a guy had stored lancers sigmas and starions, the man had passed away and his kids decided to scrap them all and get money for scrap, apparently there was 30-40 cars, wat a heartbreak..

Heartbreaking -could've at least advertised "free to good home"?
Goes to show that hoarding things to save them doesn't always work. In this case, it had the opposite effect.

agreed ...was upsetting to read about this...wouldn't mind seeing a shot of the badge.

That actually reminds me of a few years ago 1999-2000ish....
Me and my mate pete whos a ford and Chrysler nut were up near renmark to grab some ford parts from his property.
SAME THING, we were having a beer at the pub, truck pulls up with squashed cars, pete drops his beer glass with his mouth open and his face goes white with an "Oh FUCK NO"..... Walks over like hes just witnessed a train crash--
Purlple XA GS Coupe, XB GT Coupe x2, XY GT, few XW ,mark 1 Cortina GT Coupe few more Falcon 500 and Fairlanes---- and the worst part---- black Landau Coupe-- NO vynal roof. This was the prototype, 0001. the one that toured AUS and the US.
All pancakes. Old man dies and his family gets rid of them. Back then though, they were worth near-nothing..
We asked where these were headed and it turns out pete new the guy who owned the scrapers so we followed the truck back to the yard. The landau was on top, the crane got it off and pete got to it with the nine inch.
He now has the ID plates mounted on the wall.
Thinking about it now, that pile of metal if they were still cars wouldve been near on $500,000.
I swear pete crys a little every time he looks at those plates....

I'm not a fan of the blue oval but I can appreciate a collectable vehicle. That one hurts...
