L200 Vs L300
L200 Vs L300
Anyone know for sure, preferably done it, if L300 Axles will fit in a L200 rwd diff?
And, will L300 front hubs fit on L200 stubs?
Basically I want to swap my L200 to 5 stud, pretty much just for a better range of wheels and offsets.

Re: L200 Vs L300
Can't say 100% but I have a MB L200 and a 1997 L300, just by looking at the 2 with the front wheels off it doesn't look like it would work, but possibly the earlier L300 before they were a unibody may be similar to the L200, but those front ends are hard to find.
The rear ends look similar but I have never pulled the axles out and measured them and counted the spines. If your L200 is a commercial model (1000kg payload) you may want to change the diff ratio anyway as it would be 4.875 so top speed is not great, the Recreational model L200 runs 3.975 ratio which is better, I think if I was going to do it I would use a complete rear end out of something else that comes with LSD

Cheers guys, think mine is a recreational model, doesn't have a tacho but does scream at 100kph in 5th like my mates L300 does in 4th, lol
Not really bothered about performance just an easy 5 stud conversion for a better range of wheels.
Having said that, i do have my eye on a really nice set of 16" 6 stud alloys now

Have considered the diff out of something like a triton???
They're also leaf sprung so if ur wheel track is similar,
I don't know about the Delicate, but they would also be a good option to look at too!

I think you are missing the point Scorpma, lol
I don't care about ratios or strength I want 5 stud, lol

Yeah I saw that Jason and thought WTF???
Anyhow I think yours might be a commercial model with bench seat no carpet and that rack on the front of the tray

Appreciated Scorpma. Hate the caps mate
Could be llgc, not really sure to be honest. Hums along happily at 110kph in 5th, will get under it next weekend (to add lowering blocks, lol) and check diff ratio.
Going to the local U Pull It wreckers, they have a L200 and a L300 so I can pull an axle out of each and compare, without having to buy stuff I don't need
