Re: Pistons for a 2.6 Astron

stock pistons are capable of 200+kw
but if going for a budget rebuild i would get some ACL duralites, theyre not expensive (i got some on ebay for $60 new)

CP and Wiseco will also do forged, and i think RPW sells arias forged pistons. but they are all around 1k a set

Re: effects of roller rockers on non roller crow cam?

yeah thats kinda what i was thinking. but it wasnt a choice i had.
i guess itll be better than a stock cam for though.

aiming at 400hp, and max of around 7k rpm what would be a guide to look for?
i might give the guy who used to be at bezerkely a call in the coming future if this doesnt work well.

rack and pinion conversion

has anyone done a rack and pinion conversion on a sigma?

all the steering components are shagged on my car and im interested in the s13 coilover conversion aswell
so i thought about using the steering rack to suit too, could it be placed on custom brackets where the steering rail currently goes?

Re: urgent help need, bronze shavins in oil

new engine with new rings will leave the oil looking mettalic till the firct change.

take the oil to a mechanic if unsure, but if youve already dropped the oil once after over 50kms then i would be a little cautious

havent had an alignment yet and dont know how the tyre wear will go. You need to readjust the toe when you do it because it changes the toe a little. Toe is really the only thing that is adjustable on these cars, so I do it myself by taping a couple sticks to the tires and measuring between the end...

i did the same on my GJ, it did make a noticeable difference.

havent had an alignment yet and dont know how the tyre wear will go.
has anyone been running reasonably wide tyres with this done... does it dramatically wear the tyres unevenly?
