Re: Can or not IRS axle sapporo into sigma?
Yeah, I saw the other part of the sub frame. I have also discussed it more here : http://sigma-galant.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=1792&start=30 Are you able to get a measurement of the distance between the 2 bolts that mount the cross member, and then a measurement of the distance between the 2...

Re: Cottees' Sigma GN Build
lol. I don't know if you'd believe me, but I have already used up 3 cans of the stuff on that engine bay so far. At the moment I am not too worried about it being messy. Once I get everything sorted out and fitting where it should, that is when a major clean + assembly gets done.

What I am looking at for my Sigma Project is something I can drive on the road, and also take to the track. So pretty much after something for most of the rev range, not huge HP for straight line dragging.

Re: Can or not IRS axle sapporo into sigma?
The distance between the 2 holes is ~105mm, and distance between the 2 rear most holes is ~760mm. Hopefully someone with IRS could kindly measure their cross member for us.

Re: Can or not IRS axle sapporo into sigma?
As 5I6MA said, I am sorry for hijacking this thread. I just had a look at my 1987 GN Sigma's rear end, and I found something pretty interesting. http://users.adam.com.au/cottees/sigma/DSC00595.jpg See these 2 holes that appear to do nothing? I think they are just a left over from the IRS Sigma that ...

I would go with a 6G72TT out of a 3000GT/GTO. it produces 240kW.

Re: Can or not IRS axle sapporo into sigma?
From what I have seen, the engine bay of the Scorpion/Sapporo/Eternia/Challenger is identical to that of the Sigma GJ-GN. I think the Aus-Spec Scorpion and Sigma GJ-GN front and rear suspension is interchangeable. Also read that the Sigmas, Scorpions and Starions all share the same IRS set up. The I...

This turbo looks like a good price, but I think that is cause it is not a genuine Garrett. The turbine might also be too big for really fast spooling. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GT28-GT2870-Turbo-Charger-internal-wastegate-86-A-R_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZQ7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a200QQ_trksidZp3286Q...

I would like the manifold on eBay, but I am going to be French and give up for now. I could buy the manifold, or spend the day at U-Pull-It. I might just spend the day at U-Pull-It. I love that place. Like a candy store, but for car nuts.

Re: Cottees' Sigma GN Build
I had an idea of making an adapter that goes from a GN exhaust 5 bolt cat converter to a T2/T3 flange. If I did that, it looks like that a turbo would fit under the manifold, if it wasn't for the oil filter. It might work if I relocate the oil filter, or did some cut and welding to the manifold. I c...

Re: Can or not IRS axle sapporo into sigma?
In Australia, the Sapporo was called a Scorpion. The model we got of the Sigma and Scorpion didn't come with IRS. From what I have read, the IRS out of an import Galant Sigma, Sapporo and Starion are similar or could be the same. If you have a Sigma that has IRS, a Sapporo IRS might fit. If not, the...

Re: G spec GH
It is looking pretty good. Will you be adding some bracing to the SC to support it? The Magna EFI needs support, I would imagine a SC would need it even more because of not only the weight, but the belt pulling on it. Interested in seeing how it all works out though.

Fuel rail onto a turbo intake, yes. There is someone that has done it from what I have seen. I just can't remember where I saw it. I have thought about putting a Magna tank into my Sigma, but I havn't got around to doing any measurements yet.

Re: Cottees' Sigma GN Build
I have only done part of the surround at the moment. I need an elite dash loom and electric speed sensor to get it all wired up. I should be able to get one from U-Pull-It next week. GB_BB4C has done a similar mod in their Galant. They said that all worked except for the fuel gauge. For my mod, I ca...

Did a google search on the 6A12. Looks pretty interesting. I stumbled upon a pic of the back end of the 6A11, which I assume is the same as the 6A12. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/1/1574/841/3932920020_large.jpg From what I can see, you might need to get a custom bell housing made up if...

Re: Sigma white cluster dials
No idea yet. For white back dials, I am thinking of printing on white plastic sheets, a bit thicker than transparency sheets. A while back I also thought about silk screening the designs, but just didn't get around to trying it out. Good silk screening should produce a better result than a printer w...

When I had my first Sigma, I looked around and couldn't find any white dial replacements for the Sigma, so I ended up starting to make my own. I think the alternator off a TR/TS Magna with 4G54 is 80 amp. That should fit onto a Sigma 4G54. On the Magna, it is mounted on the left side, where as the Sigma alternator is on the right.

Re: Cottees' Sigma GN Build
I took a comparison photo of the Magna TN Elite LCD cluster and the Sigma GN Cluster. They both look of similar size. Pretty much all that would need to be done is make up a custom surround for the LCD cluster, and it all should fit. Nothing a little fibre glass couldn't fix http://i620.photobucket....

A while back I had a 1989 Toyota Cressida with a 7M-GE. IIRC, the oil filter was in an awkward position, and was pretty difficult to get an oil filter remover onto it.
