Re: gc galant project rotary????
13b's are 1308cc's but are seen as to double in the eyes of the RTA and most authorities. There are also new laws that should apply to every state that came in february that actually allow a 13b turbo in a GC/gd galant. If you can do a turbo rotary that means you can do a turbo 2.6. They changed the...

I heard a bloke saying that he had a bellhousing to suit a R154 toyota box behind a vr4. r154's will handle 5/600hp behind a drag supra and can be upgraded to handle more.
Might be a way to go also

I have one that was custom made by dominello racing transmissions in Sydney area. He has the pattern and laser cuts one and then welds a ring gear to it.
I have broken 2 now. The last one has lasted quite well.

Re: Camshaft decision time
You are going to have to get that compression ratio up somehow. It will be laggy and then just crack into wheelspin, its fun but not fast. Its not a copper gasket is it? 60-1 is what I have on mine. They are perfect I reckon and so is a stage 2 cam. I had a big cam in mine, it was useless. Ran 30psi...

Re: Twin Turbo 4G54
I think you blokes are just trying to make your lives more complicated. A few things I have been thinking about: Compound turbo setups are more for diesel motors that can handle 50+ psi boost with no intercooler, so I'd probably steer away from that. The twins on my 1j supra are laggy as, plus if yo...

She looks good again mate. Poor car had a hard life since I sold it, I'm glad someone's got it that is giving it some love!
It needs the simmons back on it though, I'm struggling with those ones on it unfortunately.

Re: What Head gasket you using???
There is one set-up that is guaranteed to 50+pounds of boost from a t51r but will cost around 1500-2000 to have done as there is a fair bit of machining involved. cheers Mic It's obvious which car that's on! I just use a ridecrest engineering copper gasket and an O ringed block and head. The piston...

My god that is the worst. I have to check the oil between runs when I was racing the galant. I don't know how many times I've burnt myself, esp when the pyrometer still says 400 degrees!

The police have not been a problem at all. There are all sort of cars turn up, blown hotrods, mini tubbed toranas, rotaries. It's mostly older blokes so no one is being stupid and the police leave it alone.

Hey folks, I haven't been on here in a while, sorry about that. Do you Sydney guys know about Harry's Cafe De Wheels at Liverpool, the meetup on the last Saturday night of each month? How have you got your bleed setup?
I manage to run 32psi and still use the standard 32mm gate and 9 psi spring. With that much boost, I doubt much even runs through the gate

+1 for the 9 inch. The one in my car has been in there for 10 years and I've never had to touch it. You've all seen how it launches - just look at the top of the page!

Hey fellas, As I have stated many times, I am currently using ACL hypereutectic pistons in my car and I do Have roughly 300rwkw or 388hp in the old speak. I've only just seen this. Am I too late to order 6 strut tops? and some rubbers for the bonnet?
I'll also be requiring front and rear rubber for a GD sedan.
Can you get rear window rubbers for the wagons?
Door frame rubbers for the wagon tailgates?

The induction noise is true. I reckon they could get you if you had one if those gilmer pulley setups too. My rx2 had a 13b bridgeport which I had to get a completely new exhaust made just to shut it up. It had a 3 inch on there with a truck sized muffler and another just before the diff, but was me...

The ducks guts s13 coilovers with separate rebound and bump adjustment are $1600 for 4, so 2 are going to be a lot cheaper, I bought a whole s13 front end with hubs and rack for $250. Then I just choose which brakes I want, 200sx or R33. Prob $500 for the 5 stud hubs and brakes, I saw some go for $3...

No worries!
What paperwork did they give you? Did he give you a notice himself to go to the EPA? This whole thing really bugs me, the police have no clue and yet they can write fines, discredit your engineers report and send you whereever they like, because they see shiny stuff in the engine bay.

Re: Cam for 2.6 turbo
one of the key things i dont want to lose Rx is the smooth idle that makes it an easy streeter and fuel economy off boost. The thing is brilliant on start up and when being driven around off boost. It barely uses a drop yet i can spool up and fly off in a blink if i want to. Im still unsure exactly...
