Re: GB Struts vs Scorp Struts

Yeah file share has come up with some cool stuff! :) I actually plan to measure and input into a suspension geometry program the sigma suspension to see how i could try and change it for the better from the factory configuration. Doubt know if it would even be worth it to do so. Im going to do the s...

Re: GB Struts vs Scorp Struts

Also it keeps your kingpin inclination right. Looking at the workshop manuals i have here it has: GB kingpin inclination = 8 degrees 50 minutes GC - GD kingpin inclination = 9.0 degrees GK sigma = 8 degrees 45 minutes Sapporo (aka Scorpion) GH = 9 degrees 30 minutes Hopefully someone with a bit mor...

Re: GB Struts vs Scorp Struts

Im glad someone asked thig Q as i never even took notice of the Galant struts since everyone else just swaps in the Scorp ones, makes sense if your not doing a full brake upgrade, but when going a rotors and calipers upgrade anyway, might as well stick with the galant struts, IF theres good shocks a...

Mr D has Audi koni inserts in his, needed 40mm off the strut for them, and there externally adjustable.
Will order some of these shocks this week unless someone can see a problem with them or has a better option?

Are you sure?

I just had a look at my GCs and they do have a removable bracket just like GH scorps etc. ( I just bought some GH struts anyway, better choice of shocks from what i have found.

Sorry this was the link i ment to post http://www.hoonboy.com/tmp/MrBishiBrakes/MrBishi%20Early%20RWD%20Mitsubishi%20Front%20Brake%20Upgrade.htm The setup used would cause the rotor to hit they A arm even sooner Rotors a little further offsett than a starion rotor, But then Mrbishi stuck 10mm spacer...

Re: Pros/Cons removing balance shafts

We have never had a problem with cavitation on our engines, but we learn't early on that the problem was not so much the pump pick, but the lack or oil being returned back to the sump pan. The main issue with the astron engine , is that too much oil sits on the top of the cylinder head and takes to...

I have only driven my car about twice since i put the pump in, having some clearance issues with the dump in the coupe, was fine in the sedan with no brake booster. but like you the old car got put aside ...

Ill go 2HP difference with the pump which probably isnt measureable, Ill go 5 on the ballance shaft removal ,BUT it needs to be dyno'd or it didnt happen, the number of people who spruke HP figures but havent even seen a dyno is amazing. Re: Pros/Cons removing balance shafts

How much power do you think it would take to spin a magna pump at 18,000rpm with 80 or even 60psi ? im guessing a hell of a lot more than spining balance shafts. Or more to the point, how much more power do you think it would take than spinning a forklift pump at 4000rpm with 60psi? this is exactly ...

I want to get something with a sealed thrust race bearing like these http://www.datsport.com/Camber_plates_with_thrust_bearings.html there $560 and have no caster adjustment, but you get more for your $ i think? There 110 bolt spacing, but Ill spin...

Re: Pros/Cons removing balance shafts

Yes the canter is the same, Some cosmetic differences, i think more do with old vs later castings than canter vs forklift. the pics of my motor with the forklift pump is using the pullys from a canter pump I pulled from a wrecker once, I still have the canter pump if you want it? Ill buy a new pump ...

Mr Bishis big brake upgrade in a Galant.

Im going to do a brake upgrade, but want to see if anyone has done this in a galant? http://www.hoonboy.com/frontsus.html I put some Starion struts in my galant once and the rotors hit the A am meaning they would not fit, So im just wandering if this upgrade would also hit the A arm due the the wide...
