Re: Stereo systems
The head unit has changed a few times - currently a JVC CD player me thinks. Sony 4 channel amp Some ancient front split speakers. American made - Power Vision I think. They sounded awesome in the shop and it wasn't until I got them home that I discovered it's hard to fit a 6.5" woofer in a Sig...

Yes! (actually no)
Have just got them off. Damn they're sticky little suckers. One clean car again.
Now, if only I hadn't read those threads about filing and polishing up the turbo rims... There's a job for a rainy weekend.

Re: i rly need help
The switch which operates the lights and hi/lo beam is all one unit with the indicator and wiper stalks. You have to replace the whole thing as far as I know. The unit slips off once the steering wheel is removed. You just need to unclip the connector under the steering column and reconnect with new...

Nope, not a drama. 110 all the way there and back and it didn't miss a beat. Damn it's noisy though. :z It was a bucks weekend and there were points being awarded for various feats of manliness. The Sigma ended up with more points than the buck because of its firewood towing capabilities. Now ...

Have you ever tried explaining to someone in their WB ute that the 12 slotters they so proudly point to are traditionally a Ford wheel? It doesn't go down well. But then again, 12 slotters look gay no matter what unless they are on an Old School Falcon.

Re: EOI, VIC Cruise, Ideas
I've always been a little reticent to go on any cruises because I look on here at the time, skills, money and love people have invested in their cars and I'm a bit daunted. Will people laugh at me, or worse The Mighty Sigma, because it's only had love and none of the other three? (I mention the laug...

Re: stock tachometer installation on a GH Sigma
Hi there. I had the same instruments as you have and I replaced the whole instrument cluster with one that had a factory tacho. I don't know whether you can just change the one gauge. As for extra wiring, it was just one wire to the coil and that was already in the loom waiting to be hooked up.

Re: Fuel gauge senders
:stupid: Similar happened to me many years ago. Swapped out standard Chrysler Galant gauges for an instrument cluster with a tacho... Same thing - gauge says all fine and dandy. Coughing engine said otherwise. Turned out my original instruments (and senders) were imports and the replacement gauges w...

Have you taken out the instrument cluster? My GE originally had Jap instruments (solid silica circuit board) but when I changed over to a dash with a tacho it came with Australian (Smiths) gauges and the circuit "board" was flexible. Several tracks had been flexed once too often and snappe...

The wire to the tacho is the white one from the + side of the coil.
