Where's the leak? If it's the solder around the tank/core join you could DIY. Dunno about fixing cores though.

Re: KM132 5 speed (jap box INFO)

Same number of bearings - but back left one in picture of cheaper one must be the "35BVV072 Double Ball Bearing for the Rear Mainshaft". Nothing like that in my Gregorys exploded view however. Of course, mine's a '78 "Galant" model GE Sigma and so probably never came with the 2 l...

Thanks for the steer - Going by the exploded view in my Gregorys manual it's the one with single ball bearings on input and main shafts.

Re: KM132 5 speed (jap box INFO)

Hi guys, I think I'm reading too much and confusing myself. I don't need a new Jap 5 speed to swap into my old Sigma as it already had one when I bought it (21 years ago). What I do need to do is refurbish the poor old thing as it makes all sorts of noises! (Mostly bearings and end float(?) ...

Nope, what we're saying is that any GE/GH door will fit your wagon. Doesn't matter whether it's a GE sedan or wagon.
:D

(I've got GN wagon doors on my GE sedan)

If it's in the school holidays I think I can make it to a Melbourne one. Although if you're hoping to embarrass the inter-staters by the quality of Victorian cars... perhaps I should stay home. :$

Nope. Sorry.

Wagons same all models.
All wagon front doors match GE/GH
GJ/K/N sedans have different door shape.

About 550km highway cycle. That's in a 2 litre GE sedan with a 56 litre tank (me thinks).
Much worse around town though. :\

Re: GH PWS Window Rust. Help with repair advise

Mine was in similar condition once. My parcel shelf - including the folded structural/torsion part - had also been mauled to fit large rear speakers in. I cut two BIG sections out from the boot lip all the way forward to the rear seat support and folded up some new bits to weld in. Worked ok, but it...

Yes, so long as you stick to sedan or wagon, depending on what you've got. They're a different shape between wagons and sedans.

Ah, no. I replaced the bush on the bottom. I'd like one of those too then if it'll take out the slop.

That's the bit I replaced... no effect on slop in gear selector whilst in gear.

Re: Jap 5 speed gear lever play: how much is normal?

Yeah.... me too.

I replaced the bush at the bottom of the shaft to little effect.
I hear there's another bit that sits further up the shaft... but yep, mine you could make porridge with whilst in gear.
