Re: Km119 problem
I take it the shifter is the 3 bolt type triangle.. This photo shows the shifter guide plates with the 5 speed on the left and four speed on the right. Please note that the plates came of two different styles of Jap gearbox with different shifter extensions, hence the overall design is larger on the...

Re: Hydraulic Clutch Conversion - GN Sigma
Pretty sure I switched the Sigma pedal box over. so remove the Sigma clutch and brake pedal setup, install the Starion brake pedal where the Sigma one was. As for the clutch it bolts to the firewall with the master cylinder, I made up another bracket for the other end to attach to something as our d...

Re: Removing Speedo needle.
I have just pulled them off in the past by grabbing the centre and pulling the needle off.
Putting them back on I put it about 10-20km mark, push on and then turn back to line up zero.
**note this is with GC/D Galant and GH Sigma gauges I have done...

Re: Hydraulic Clutch Conversion - GN Sigma
I have used a Starion box and hydraulic setup (pedal, master, line, slave cylinder) in my Sigma, however this is a Wide block only thing.. I have thought about trying to adapt a Magna or Cordia (as would be narrow bock pattern) arm and slave cylinder to a box. it would be a matter of cutting a hole ...

Re: Carb to EFI 4G63 Single Cam
I would be checking fuel filter, fuel pump and lines before anything else... as you said you re-kitted a couple of carbs and still having problems. you either missed something or put something in wrong or not have it adjusted correctly. Also check plugs, leads and points (if it has them) if not as s...

Re: centre/single point injection
you could, it would be different, but what is the point... by the time you factor in adaptor plates, computer to run them, tuning etc... you could have just got a Magna to get the multi point injection off of and put it on for a fraction of the price and effort... that's my opinion of it anyway... y...

The Scorpion diff ratio is 3.33:1 the L300 (non 4x4) is 4.6:1 the Lancer EX has a ratio of 3.9:1 and is LSD and a straight swap. The 4x4 centre is bigger and will not fit... yes I have one and have tried. also the ratio for them is 4.8:1 that Starion LSD that was on Gumtree is for the later JD model...

Re: dash cable clip GC galant
2 options really.
A: find someone with small hands
B: undo the cable from the gearbox and you will be able to pull it through more into the cabin, then once the dash is installed re-connect to the gearbox.

Re: suggestions for broken Jap 5spd fix or replacement?
the 3rd pic is of a GJ onward box, the same as what a Starion box gear shifter setup is, this is why it wouldn't fit I guess on the short extension housing. didn't even think about them being any different.. just make a spacer plate to make it fit your box.

Just be careful with this guy's. there are a few different extension housings on the gearboxes and unless yours has the 4 bolt top the short throw shifter will not fit. this is one of the Short Throw Shifters.. only thing I don't like about them is the lack of dust boot on the ball (shifter in neutr...

nothing to stop you painting the section where the vinyl material was white or black to make it look like the vinyl roof. have seen a few cars with this option.

Re: Master cylinder swap - GB
different screw ends had to be put on the lines to match the master. I didn't want to break off the two studs to hold the original master on (in case I wanted to revert the car back to standard), so I opted for a 25mm (was as long as the studs poked out) chunk of alloy to make the spacer, from memor...
