4g32 tappets/lifters etc
Hey guys just a quick question to save me some effort having a look myself. Have an LC lancer with a 4g32 (belt) and the ticking noise is hideous upon acceleration - i imagine this is due to worn or out of adjustment lifters. Are they adjustable or am i up for a new set of lifters to put in? If so, ...

Re: Annual All Jap cruise

Re: Annual All Jap cruise
Being literally the only Old school mitsi/chrysler out of 175 odd cars you guys missed out on a good day. Plenty of old datto's and mazdas but surprisingly no old mitsi love. The generational gap was amusing - no one under 30ish even giving the LC a glancing look, everyone over 30ish stopping and ha...

Anyone else here attending the All Japanese cruise tomorrow up Mt Tambourine?
Re: Maverick
MOAR updates. Brake light switch was cactus. Plastic rod was worn down flush to the thread :$ Had a look around at work and an AE82 brake light switch fits straight in no mods required. So thats a nice bonus fixing that for free. All thats left is to get her detailed tomorrow ready for the cruise on...
Re: Maverick
Rear disc conversion arrived today (big thanks to Rally_2.6LC and his delivery driver). Everything needed to convert it, and taken from an LC so should bolt straight up to mine. Just need to swap out all the bushes to poly, new leaf spring seat rubbers, sand blast it all down and give it a nice fres...

Re: Maverick
Took the rear 1/4 windows out and cleaned out all the s**t that a previous owner put in there. Like the stuff on a door plastic sheet to stick it to the door, but much worse as it was in the weather. Suffice to say, 2 hours and 10L of petrol got it all out and is now looking better. Just gotta find ...

Well the new pump is in, retimed and running as it was but this time round with a functional fuel return line.
No idea if it would even affect economy but it works. Just has to hold up till the '64 goes in

Re: 4g32b fuel pump
Yea ive got a return line ready. Where the hardlines come off the chassis rail and join ive got a return line just sitting there with no hose over it as if its been taken off at some point. I guess the other question is, should i be using this return line back to the tank or blocking off the return ...

4g32b fuel pump
So the fuel pump on the LC decided to give out on the way home today and after driving across brisbane to get a replacement i find that the one theyve given me is different, however im fairly certain theyve given me the right one... The old one was a 2 pipe pump. One in from the tank one out to the ...

Re: Power steering conversion
Assuming that everything will bolt in (which is very well could not on an older car like this) Youll need a power steering pump bracket, the castings in the block to bolt it on or to make it work, the pump itself, a longer belt to accomodate (and possibly a tensioner and pulley if it is a separate b...

Re: ITB selection? wanted to buy. Your thoughts!
Id say go for a twin Dellorto 40s or 45s but if the twin manifold is as hard to find as the 4g32 its not really feasable.
Dellorto > Weber all day every day though

Hi there!
Considering its age, that car is holding up very well for something that hasnt been previously restored etc. Id be happy starting from where it is compared to what some forum members here have gone through!

Re: GA Galant Speedo Not woking
Simple test is just unscrew the cable out of the gearbox and pull/rotate the internal cable. That will tell you if its the cable or the transducer (speedo drive in gearbox) as that can be a fault point as well.

Sup. I work at a wrecking yard in brisbane, so if you cant find anything down there i can get you something from up here. Currently doing a 4g64 conversion in my LC now, cept with a twin cam head and 500hp shoved down its throat. Look for an L300 or MK triton 4g64 block and mate it with a GSR head i...

Re: LC Lancer "Dream Build Q's"
I'm in the process of putting a turbo twin cam 4g64 in mine. Tuner expects 500hp with my budget and gear but we will see what happens. The difference is though mine is a purpose built clubman special car. I can get you a cheap NA sohc 4g64. Little bit bigger than the 63 for the extra torque and woul...

Hey mate, Just gave them a buzz and they can definitely help me, apparently theyll either have something on the shelf or be able to make something up for me, for around $75. Think thatll be the way to go! Being only about 30min up the road from me too i can just take a sample into them as well. Chee...

Re: Lc lancer distributor diaphragm part number
Helpful lady at repco said they don't have a listing, rung a few places including Bosch who make a distributor for the 4g32 and they can't help. So I'm all out of ideas. Might just have to advance the timing a little to compensate. Not buying a whole distributor for a 5 dollar diaphragm especially a...
