Lc lancer dash lights blown
So I had to pop up the road tonight and found my fashion's aren't working. Headlights /parkera/handbrake light in dash/every gauge in the dash just not the bulbs to illuminate them. Popped my head up there and everything seems to be in order, checked fuses and although there doesn't say there's a fu...

Re: Automatic to manual conversion
Not sure how different it is to a lancer but the annual box was shorter and had to modify the gearbox mount to sit forward further. Might have to well a small tunnel on the outer firewall to support the clutch cable adjuster if it's not hydraulic. Centre console will have to be changed as well. Shou...

Thought I'd chime in an update it's been a while. I'm since now a father of 2 so my time schedule has really been taken up lately with taking care of the babies. I've Talked to many friend family and people such as engineers, fabricators etc and have decided I'm keeping the fc rx7 as my mental race ...

As above, I view this every time there's an update, it's a good build and I look forward to seeing progress I just don't want spam the thread with "looking good" every time you post something. I'm sure others are the same.

When you put the engine back in make sure to take the rocker off the motor or that chain will take a few chunks of that nice new paint with it. Seen it happen a million times with friends cars.

Didn't say the car was Japanese muscle, just said that gives it the look and personally I like the style. Obviously everyone's different and others don't like it, was just expressing my opinion

Re: My GE Sigma Build
Why run them behind the bumper?
Classic Japanese muscle look, look far better in front than behind ;)
I'll be doing this with the lc once the new engine goes in...

I've heard that too, although being underground and mostly under cover I didn't think it would affect it enough to make a noticeable difference tbh. Either way best time if this has any merit is in the morning, after its cooled off all knight and before the morning sun heats it up again

If it helps I ordered an lc narrow box mount from repco a few weeks back for about 40 landed from another store. They have a listing for it somewhere and told me they could get more in the future if needed.

Ah bugger ay.
Don't think he wants to wait tthat long so I'll just freight it to him, was just thinking he might save a few bucks on the off chance but all good.
Thanks anyway

Anyone driving qld to Vic any time soon?
As per title anyone doing a road trip in the near future? I have an engine to send down to Vic and on the very off chance someone here is making the trip I could pay them as money over freight and everyone wins.
Anyone?
Anyone?

I currently have a 4g64 dohc engine for sale. Wideblock 2.4l with a DSM twin cam head freshly reco'd for 500.was going to boost it and put it in the lc but have gone a different direction. Even Na it would be a weapon. Food for thought

Re: What is it worth?
Looks good.
I paid 6k for my LC but it was mint in and out. Stock seats with 0 damage, dash mat with 0 damage original 90k on it good chrome trim etc.
Water gauge might be a 14 dollar sender off eBay I'd try that first.

Re: Maverick
So pretty sure i just purchased an FC rx7 today. Looks like the lancer will be getting a 13b bridgeport turbo in after all. Lol
Re: Maverick
barra motor is exactly 80cm long, my absolute max room is 80cm in the bay. After speaking to the fab guy its easier if i just turf the idea now. Todays thought was a 13b instead, as we have an rx8 motor at work or alljap has a freshly race rebuilt series 5 motor/box/microtech etc but a bit rich for ...
Re: Maverick
Im expecting to 'massage' the tunnel lol, and im not sure, measured everything up and will check tomorrow, but there is a lot of room in there when you relocate everything....
Re: Maverick
yep pretty much. stock barra turbo makes 270kw, which is very easily wound up. can use stock everything from an FG instead of trying to source very obscure aftermarket this and that to maybe hold down a big power 64t. just makes more sense to me.
no replacement for displacement right?
no replacement for displacement right?
Re: Maverick
So i change my mind more often than my underwear it seems. It seems i have access to a very cheap FG turbo wreck (which means any and everything i need to do a conversion) and im seriously considering it. Would save probably tens of thousands in the long run over a worked 4g64 to get the same power....

Re: Scorpion LSD options
dang the 4x4 '86 l300 we have at work is a 10 bolt LSD too. BUT ive had some thinking time today and i might be going an entirely different route for the FC if my engine bay measurements are big enough...which would call for a massive hilux diff as im pretty sure an F6 typhoon motor would break a sc...

Scorpion LSD options
Ive recently purchased a scorpion diff for my LC and am just wondering what my options are for an LSD/ratio upgrade will be? Ive read that l300 4x4 LSD diff centre will be a straight swap, as well as a triton. Is this correct? Are there any aftermarket LSDs that will fit? As i will be dropping a big...
