Re: Mr Bishis big brake upgrade in a Galant.
Just my 2 cents. the biggest problem (ok maybe not the biggest) with galant brake upgrades is the sway bar link and steering idler are in the way for mounting the calipers, so needs to be addressed also

Re: GA and GB differences
Some of the GA 's have rear pillar badge/vent thing that the GBs dont have. gearbox cross member is shorter on a GA and bolts to inboard platforms not the chassis "rail" like on gb. (GB cross member handy for that 5 speed conversion  ) Im sure there are a few more very minor diff...

Re: i need a few parts chromed but dont no where
Queanbeyan is near Canberra yep. EPT's phone number is 02 6297 0535. Well worth giving them a call. I just post them my stuff and pay cod when they return the finished parts, too easy and well worth it

I'm not going to enter into an argument with the spec gurus lol (just jokes guys) BUT, physically comparing the #6 and the #5 cam, the lift on the #6 is no where near the #5 regardless of timing Just my 2c Oh and I'm no engineer either, just commenting on what my aircraft trade books told me about r...

Re: Why did you buy a Sigma, Galant or Lancer?
I bought my first galant because I liked the look of it. The GB reminded me of a datsun 1600 which is what I was initially after for my first car, but I couldn't find a reasonable one at the time. The love affair grew from there

Re: ga /gb coupes
Problem is you dont often see them for sale in Japan. NZ 16L's are easier to find but yeah, expensive to ship. Yank ones have the steering wheel on the wrong side but swapping to the right side shouldnt be too hard, depending on the type of dash. Get two I'll go you halves

Re: GB versus GD Who is the winner
I find the GA/GB too boxy (saying that i do actually like the Datsun 1600's.....please dont delete my account, ide put an evo engine in it instead of an SR20 or FJ20). GC is my favourite, I think the single head lights (although mine now has 6 lights across the front....eat my 660w of driving light...

pollution cams = post 1975 cams, number 6, 7 and 8
You will always get greater revs for less spring tension (read valve train wear) when using oppositely wound dual springs too. Just a thought
