Re: Steering wheel help needed.

Check this out.

Came across it on JNC. It's out of a US 1974 dodge colt GT (never heard of a GT variant, and cant see a difference besides a ghetto stripe and 180B tail lights  )

Hardtop seatbelts

I was browsing though a few topics on the board and I noticed in a few photos of some Coupes that they have a different seat belt set up than mine. http://i587.photobucket.com/albums/ss314/tommyhagenb/CIMG6095.jpg This is a photo of the Norwegian fella that posted on here a few weeks ago. Notice the...

Re: Steering wheel help needed.

Is it loose , or is the shaft bush a little worn ? Even if the nut has somehow become un-done, the boss should still we wedged tight on the spline. They dont just become loose. It would generally require a lot of time and swearing to get the boss off the spline. If it has a little sideways movement...

Steering wheel help needed.

http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/8967/img0311s.jpg Anyone know how to get the centre cap of this steering wheel? The wheel feels a little loose but I cant get the cap off to tighten it. Also, anyone know what it's actually off? a fair amount of debate's been going on in the Galant forum since I p...

I've got one of those wheels lurking somewhere in the shed.

Prefer the one that's on it tho :D

Might be worth a question over at japanesenostalgiccar.com Those guys have a huge knowledge base.

Not yet. The weekend we planned on getting more photos, the weather turned shite.

Hopefully soon.

I have a knackered jap 5spd

It actually belongs to my old man, and I'm also not too sure what's wrong with it. Quite obviously I'm not looking for a how to, just an idea on how hard these things are to fix. According to the old fella the bearings are a bit slack and it jumps out of some gears. Is it a case of opening it up and...

Re: My car :)

Oh the joy of toying with someone who isn't accustomed to Australianisms. Sheilas seem like a good idea at the time, but after a while you begin to think that you could possibly have done without them. They cost you a hell of a lot of money. At first you don't mind. You think it's worth it consideri...

Possibly. I don't get to em much. Usually straggle along with Kelly's service crew.

I think I've heard you mentioned. Well at least over hearing a conversation about "that guy in the Galant coupe".

Can't be too many running.

Re: a few galant vids

I've seen that last video of the GTO MR with the Twin Cam before and I absolutely love the sound of that thing.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those motors. One came up on ebay a little while ago but it went a bit too far out of my price range.

Infact, I think kodos picked it up.

Re: Our 1975 GC Hardtop (pic heavy and epic read!)

Fantastic, love the colour! Nice to see another Coupe being well loved (and don't apologise for the long thread :) ) - most here love reading stuff like that! Obviously a bit of a 'rally' connection with the family perhaps? (stickers on the fridge :D ) Very much a rally family. My old man used to r...

Re: Possibly be the first stupid engine Q on the new forum

Thanks for the pointers. Quick question while my mind's on the subject. Will the 5spd from the 2L that you recomend fit the standard 4G32 as well? The 4sp that's in the car now is a bit of a dog and I'd like to put a 5sp in it now, but if I can avoid buying 2 boxes over the duration of the project t...

Re: Our 1975 GC Hardtop (pic heavy and epic read!)

The only other time I've seen a steering wheel like it is in the thread "is this a rare GD" or something along those lines, could be off a sport or rally pack. I've got another one, it's similar but with a flat center cover. I like this one anyway. I've also got a really nice SAAS sports w...

Re: Colt / Galant

The US version was called a colt but it looked quite different. Different grill, huge big ugly bumper bars that sat out further and I've seen coupes that have completely different rear ends. They resembled Datsun Sunny liftbacks (ick!) without, erm, the liftback part. Google image search a Dodge Col...

Our 1975 GC Hardtop (pic heavy and epic read!)

The car has been "finished" for a few months now but i hadn't gotten around to introducing it. My father bought the car back in 1995 off Carlos Casmiri at Sportsclassic in Castlereagh for $700 (I'm sure some of you here know him, and I still have the reciept! :D). It was a complete and ori...

Possibly be the first stupid engine Q on the new forum

Sorry guys but someone had to do it. I'm gathering info on doing a 2.6 conv into a GC Coupe. Now, now, before you start throwing stuff at me I have been searching the old forums but without much luck. I'll keep trying but any suggestions for search criteria would be appreciated. Mostly I just want s...
