Re: clutch noise

how did you put the new thrust bearing on? You can't press it on by the outside of the bearing or you stuff it. Did you change all the front panels to GC parts or is it a GC?
What's the build date? GC's were made from mid 1974 to late 1975. Mine is Sept 75.

Am I showing my age, but these have been around for 40 years or more, and still look great. Regularly used on rally cars in the 70's, & still in use today. A very popular wheel with the guys running historic rally cars. Maybe they are like a fine wine, gets better with age. ;) ;) Style never fa...

Personally, I think nothing looks better on a Scorp than mesh Simmons and everything colour coded, as per late 80's when scorp's looked hot and everybody did them up. I remember seeing them in Sydney when I went to school. What happened to all those Simmons rims 15x8's? Love to get a set for my wago...

Re: Wiring up Fuel Pumps?

what's the current draw on a fuel pump? couldn't be too much surely. Run a larger wire to carry more amps, but run a separate fuse to each. If your worried about it maybe run a relay in the loom with the switching positive straight from the battery. Or would i get a voltage drop that would effect th...

Just to confuse the issue even further, a rego paper for a GC galant wagon GL in my filing cabinet is 910kgs tare weight. I also thought coupes came in GC and GD. and thought the only difference was the tailights. Personally I think the GD tailights look tidier. But I prefer the coupe grill then the...

If you want to check your alignment at home, measure the distance between the front wheels at the front then at the back and compare. Should only vary by 1mm or less from memory.

Maybe you could try just giving the a file with a points file. make sure they are not spiked....
